They are remaking a good one, a classic infact. Its called straw dogs. The original come out in 1970's and was superb and I have seen a teaser trailer for the new remake and looks so good but isn't released till later in the year

I actually like some remakes. They're usually a little different from the original, but it's okay. Sometimes the remakes can be better. Nowadays the technology is crazy, so now directors can make things gorier and the monsters even more realistic looking. I'm excited to see how these will turn out

It was only a matter of time that they would risk trying to remake some of the true classic horror movies. The fact that the sequels of things like Friday the 13 etc had slowly gone as far as they could, seeming to disappear and then they were able to reboot their franchise with the the 2009 Friday the 13th makes them eager to give a fresh start to various classics. This is not new, Little Shop of Horrors was done in 1960 and then again in 1986. Invasion of the body snatchers 1956, 1978. Some will work better then others, and depending on how they change the story they can get a new audience. Then movies like Ghostbusters are more comedy then horror and Scream 4 will not be a remake as the previous cast will be included in the movie making it a sequel. I can't wait to see what they do with Little shop of Horrors, I really hope they don't ruin it.
