Hi just want to know how much do Paypal charge you on receiving payment? I made a mistake in making my Paypal Account. I registered a Premier account instead of Personal, after I receive a payment a partial of that was deducted I guess it's around 4%. How much would you think will be deducted if my account is Personal?

When getting paid in Paypal, whether its personal, premier or business. There is a fee of 1.9%-2.9% + 0.30 US Dollar. Getting paid however is different from receiving money, where receiving has no fees. The only fee you will get if you receive money is when the person giving it to you is using their credit card or Paypal credit. In this case, like all business they must pay the service of master card etc. for the credit card service. All fees are depending on your location of course, and there is a fee when your currency is different of 2%. But the fee is 1.9%-2.9% + 0.30 US dollar per payment. Double check your 4%, perhaps its the transaction fee, in addition to the currency fee, which would make sense 2% + 1.9% is approximately 4%. Goodluck.

Paypal doesn't charge any amount when the money is credited to your paypal account. However when you ask them to transfer funds from your paypal account to your bank account, then levy charge depending on your country. In the case of India in case we ask them to transfer amount over Rs.7000/ (roughly 40 $ or so) then no charges are taken. However if the amount is less than Rs.7000/ a sum of Rs.50 is charged. For Canada it may be they take 4%. They will not charge more or less than what is allowed in their rules because all these are done through computers given instructions and computers followed software instructions loaded.

Possibly ur account is in Canadian dollars. Candian dollars value is high. So when they credit u will get less canadian dollars. Conversion from US$ to canadian dollars. Once that is credited as canadian $ u command that much in ur account which is equivalent to US$ sent by the website. is it ok,. I was in a bank. What are you doing? studying or working.

I am telling you based on my experience with paypal for over two years. I would have received nearly 2000$ through them. I stay in India normally. US$ is credited. When I draw amount it is converted into Indian rupees and there they charge as I told earlier. no issues. You may ask other members in Canada about this. Re.India my answer is correct.

No. I have sent a query to them regarding this matter. They told me that they really charge even in receiving money. I guess if you are from other country everything they do for you on their site is not free. T.T

I have no idea because it has been a long time I received payment and I forgot all about it. But what I know is that people residing in United State are free.. they have no charge of receiving and sending money. That's great!!!!

I have premier account in paypal because I want to send and receive money online. I have never calculate how much fee should we pay for receiving money because usually, the site which send me money apply varies fee. Even, there are few sites didn't apply fee. I think there is a fee and it's over than 3%. I don't understand, the fee is vary. In some case, I found the fee just 1.6%. What ever, it's cheaper than use alertpay.

Paypal don't charge any when you received payment directly to your account. They charged you when you open an accnt with them for the first time for verification process but thy refund it back once your accnt has been verified. Mine is personal accnt I don't know with premier accnt if it's the same. What I know of is when you earned your money online the site that pays you, most of those site charged you with certain percent maybe for transfer fee but not all like mylot they don't charged any. Maybe that 4% charged to you was the transfer fee.

I just hope your Paypal account had been verified this time my friend. As I have said Paypal don't charged any. Some sites do charged their members for requesting payment a sort of transaction fee I guess. But when you transfer you money from Paypal to your Eon card their conversion rate is a bit lower so I guess this is where they earn from it.

I have send an email to them asking for that, they say it is really charged from receiving the money it is 1.9% - 3.4% plus $0.30 for premier. I decided to downgrade my account to personal but they replied that even in personal account they are giving charges in just receiving money. Still I requested for a downgrade cause I feel that I will be charge less if I use a personal account than Premier. I'm also yet to get my account verified cause I'm waiting for my Eon Visa to be released. I just hope that they will not charge too much in a personal account since that money is earned from a really hard work.

Paypal never charges me anything when I recieve money. My husband is currently overseas and this is how he sends money to me. We have never once had paypal take any money from us for fees. I wonder why its doing this to you. I would check on the paypal website under terms and conditions to see why this is happening to you. Good luck!
