Hi all I was hoping if anyone could give me some advice. You see, I am going to start tutoring a kid in high school in math. Any tips on tutoring? Should I use ten year series? Any learning aids that I could use? Any ways that I can use to get him to like me and look forward to my classes? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

He might not have the same work ethic as you, so keep that in mind. Maybe he isn't that interested in math. Just check out his textbook and refresh yourself on everything he needs to know. Then before tutoring try to think of 3 different ways to explain each concept to him. If he doesn't understand the first time you explain it, explain it a different way. I tutored someone in math as well.
