Deathnote???

my bestfriend asked my help to do a story somehow similar to Deathnote Manga. i have no knowledge bout it, but i have to this cause this is the only way i could repay my best friend after all that he has done for me. we'll be making a comics and he will send that to the publishing house of his friend. as what i have said, i have no idea about these Deathnote stuffs... anybody here who can help?? maybe tell a tale or two about it?? :)
