I know this sounds weird but I am already 4 years online everyday 24/7 and I did not even know already that there are new buildings and facilities in my city.It just simply means I'm not really going out anywhere and sometimes I feel different and confuse but I just can't handle not be in virtual world since this is where I work and this is where I get my daily earnings but I missed a lot of things in reality.I even can't remember when was the last time I saw my friends I mean I just felt suddenly lonely in my room but the thing is,I tried to go out and my feelings is still neutral and nothing really exciting and I keep thinking of internet like its already attached to my life.I don't know if you feel the same but I'm sure there are people like me who have this problems.I think I can say that im computer addicted so much...

Hi Insulin, i am not like you as i have made internet a priority. I do not forget/ignore other things for internet & you should not as going out with friends is equally important like internet. I too find myself addicted to MYLOT sometimes but then i use it in free time only i don't cut my time which i should devote to my family, parents or friends. Really insulin you need to get out of your room & meet with people & friends else they will forget you & you will really have to work hard to make them friends again.

Unfortunely,I have less friends since I'm a loner since then,I only have one friend and I'm not good to it.:-) Without internet too,I will not live since this is where my source of income is.I'm not focusing on mylot since this is just the place for my spare time.I'm normally doing projects and things online which makes me busy a lot.

Oh then you must try to make more friends to get rid away of your lonliness. See there are two reasons one is if your are work alholic therefore you work more on internet & the second is by spending so much time you get money which is sufficient for you to live. I don't know what is your situation but you should at least try to make more friends to get away from lonliness.

Hi insulin: I think this is a terrible situation and I'm probably sure that you have an addiction to the internet. Yes it exists. Almost everything that you enjoy can become an addiction. Internet and computers are great but at the same time there's a whole world waiting for you. You should try to recover your friends because if you only live here you'll lose some other experiences that make part of life and that are beautiful to live too. Everything is not here. Thanks for sharing with us your concerns. ALVARO

i love the internet, can't say i'm addicted, coz i can stop whenever i want. i just stay online coz it's my way to earn a living. lots of things and sites to visit and tasks to do to earn money.. when i'm rich enough, i'll put up buildings and landmarks and parks or whatever that would make my life in this city more exciting... for now, those people who are building things here are doing that because that's what they want, what they like, and it's their money, can't do anything bout that aahhh, i have another thing that i'm going to put in my bucket list.. when i am earning 7 figure income from my online ventures, then i'll have the money to put up a building or something, just a place where online gamers, anime lovers and nature lovers can go to, to network or just relax, have tournament every week, give freebies and such, have various physical games, the ones you don't see or can do with computers, etc...

That's also the reason I have,I can stop anytime I want however this is where I get my earnings and this is how I live so without internet connection,my life will be hard.I know some people will tell me get a real job however I can't easily get real job since I am skin disease which is visible and most of the time, this is the failure I got when I apply offline work.

Hi insulin, I think you are really addicted to the computer, to the internet. But, it's a first step now that you are aware of it. You mentioned that here is where you get your daily earning. What are some things that you do online? For a change, why not get a offline work, when you go and work outside, you'll make new friends, and be more sociable. It seems like you are cut out from the world and you won't be able to function in this way. It's alright to be making money from the internet. However, you need to give yourself a break, occasionally meeting up with your friends, or go shopping can really makes things better for you.

Hi insulin, I understand what you mean. You work online such as being a music producer etc and that's big money i can say. however, i think you really need to start balancing your work and your life. It's not point earning so much money but yet have no friends nor any social life.

Hi, I sometimes feel the same way too. :) Maybe thats because there's so much on going in virtual world for us rather in reality. Like making cents ;) meeting some friends, exploring the world even your just at home. Technology is indeed amusing and quite fascinating on what you can do with it. But then again, i often think that we need balance in our life. So, I engaged into being close to nature by hiking and do some gardening, to some it maybe boring but that's just my way of balancing..hehe..

Welcome to the NHK - Really cool anime.
That's incredible. I only thought people like yourself are just fictional. :P No offense meant there. I suddenly remembered an anime titled Welcome to the NHK. You can surely relate to the main character here. In Japan, they call people like yourself as a 'hikkikomori'. Or maybe the more extreme version of what you're doing. Try to watch the anime. It's really cool. ;)

if this is how you make money, then SURE, you need to be here not out there I have stuff I have to do outside the home, so I'm out and about - but my client went out earlier this week and discovered they were building part of the highway she hadn't seen before - mostly because she doesn't get out much

Hey, I know what you mean. I usually travel to work and do all my driving on one side of town. I didn't even recognize some areas of my town and I have lived there all of my life. A friend thought I was crazy when I mentioned this one time. haha. I just don't drive on that side of town very often. I don't know anyone on that side of town. I just didn't realize how much has changed. The computer might have influenced how much i get out and do things.

I'm going to say this even if it may not be well recieved. You need help. There is more to this world then just the computer. Being so attached to it to the point you can't remember what your neighborhood looks like is not only unacceptable, but seriously unhealthy. You need to break away from the internet, even if its for a few hours a day. Go out at least once a day, or every few days to stay in-touch with reality. What you've discribed sounds real deep into addiction. I'm not sure if I should take you seriously. But, I'm not here to judge. I however, do not regret giving that advise. But, you need other human contact outside of a virural world. It can be part of your life, there is nothing wrong with that, but it shouldn't be your entire life. That's where you get yourself into trouble.

Hi! Insulin, I bet you must be addicted to the internet. Many people nowadays feel that they cannot live without internet. I have that experience where when I am online, I do not like other to interrupt me and I can surf the internet for hours without rest. And then one day, I realized that I have miss out many thing in my life and tried to walk out from my room and I find that there are many more thing that need me to do rather than just sit in front of the computer and put my head deep into the internet the virtual world. So, I believe if you make up your mind to go out and take a look, go out and do some exercise, you will find that the real world will be much better than the virtual world. At least go and look for your friends.

You really need to get out! The internet is a marvelous thing and I love it as much as you do but you need a balanced life. It doesn't hurt to meet new people or go outside for a walk at least :)
