I try to live a simple life. Not getting myself in unneccessary debt. Enjoying the simply beautiful things in life. I think though at times it can be hard when the push is always on newer and better things. That's what is has so much influence in the media, the lifestyle of the rich and famous. I think that focusing on always trying to keep up with the jones as it were can really cause sadness and depression especially if we can't keep up and if that's what we are striving for.

I do appreciate living a simple life. I live life without sopofistication. I eat simple yet nutritios foods. I don;t acquire many material things. I am contended of wearing old clothes but presentable. Simplicity comes from understanding of real source of value. Do you beleive that you are of worth because you have much?

I strongly agree with you that we need to know what real values are in order to appreciate living simple. I don't have a lot in fact we really have far less than what a lot of people have. We don't have a lot of the new and latest gadgets, we drive one vehicle, we don't subscribe to any satellite or television services. And yet I strive to enjoy my life with my family. Spending quality time together and really appreciating what is important in life.

The simple life is probably a good life. I've been thinking about this a lot lately, and I prefer a simple life over a rich and extravagant life. I just want simple things. Even if I became super rich, I would never buy a mansion or other really expensive things. I'd probably just buy clothes but not buy many things. Maybe just a small house with a bit of furniture.

I think it is a good thing when we focus on living a simple life. It's important to take time out to see how we are doing in this area. Because there are so many influences that tell us that we need more and better things. The media for example is always bombarting us with these type of suggestions.

Simple living, like anything else that we do in our lives, is a choice. It is also an effort to make your life less complicated with the simple choices that you make. Like I would rather go home after work than with some friends or colleagues who went for a drink yesterday, shop till you drop today and get a lavish 3-day vacation tomorrow. Living simply not in a sense that you deprive yourself of those things but doing it the right way. Like I could go for a drink once a week, shop once a month and enjoy a vacation once a year. In that sense, everything becomes smooth and life becomes more beautiful. My simple way of life rocks.

I agree that it is necessary that we have balance. When we balance these things our life is very enjoyable. Like you mentioned we are able to do things, have fun, and still be able to pay for all of these things. When we keep a simple outlook at certain things we are able to save in a sense to do other activities or to buy something we like.

I love the simple life. I suppose I lived the other style too. When I was in my twenties I made good money and did what I wanted when I wanted. I was happy, but I am also happy now being home with my kids and sacrificing the finer things in life to be a mom.

It is a nice outlook that you have. You have been able to experience both ways. I appreciate that. It is a sacrifice that we make when we have children. Right now I'm able to stay at home with my little girl and work a little on line. It can be tough though trying to decide whether or not to work more. I love being with my daughter and being able to be with her most of the most time. I just have to find more ways to earn from home.

I've dreamed the rich life eversince I was a kid but now all I want is to finally have my own gym and be stable for life. I just want to give my son a better future than the one I had while I was growing up for I've missed a lot of opportunities because of financial problems. I just want him to be able to finish his studies unlike me. It's the best that I could hope for for his future.

I agree that as parent's we want the best for our children. Especially when we know the things that we have missed out on. I hope that you are able to get your gym up and going. It would be so wonderful for you to have your own business and to make a success of it. That way hopefully you are able to provide your son with the opportunity you would like.
