I've just searched today a lot about universe since it just came up in my mind if are we really alone or not.I know the confusion will be there since some people will say there are only one creation by God and that's us but of course I just don't want to listen to the other side but I also want to listen to the part of science.I mean if you look at the stars at night and I just checked some important images caught by our Hubble telescope, there are thousands of galaxies and maybe in this one galaxy maybe there is also a civilization or something who ask the same question like me.So Do you believe that we are alone or maybe there's also other species somewhere.I mean if we are alone then universe is just a way of space or?

Well it would certainly be a waste of space. If God created the universe, it makes no sense that he would make it so big if he only planned on filling one planet. No, I do not believe that we are alone. It was once common "knowledge" that the Earth was the center of the universe. Now, we know better. Now, it is a common belief that we are the only life in the universe. I believe that one day, we will know better. Namaste.

do you know that traces of HYDROGEN and OXYGEN are abundant in all directions of universe, space????? Formula: Hydrogen 2 Oxygen = Water those two elements are the primary ingredients to life, especially us CARBON Humans if the living thing (alien) is not a Carbon Based but an Ammonia Based aliens, therefore, maybe they won't need Hydrogen and Oxygen for them to live.... maybe they exist in a desired type of Element that is compatible to their body systems...

but if Hydrogen 2 Oxygen 2 = Carbon Dioxide

corrections: Hydrogen Peroxide is H2O2 (not included in my topic) Carbon Oxygen 2 = Carbon Dioxide is also abundant.....

if you only listen to only bible, you can't answer your questions regarding the question "Are we alone in the Universe" Bible is only an articles made by men before time, not inspired by God and not inspired by the Holy Spirit that as of now, no specific detailed solid evidence to support what Genesis claims.... i ask the same question to the one members of the Jehovah's Witnesses during my college years, i ask "How could God made the universe on such 7 days?" and Jehovah's Witnesses answer: God's word is so very powerful, when God said He created the universe at around 7 days, meaning, the universe is created at around 7 billion years to maximum.... we people of today's era intended that 1 day for God is only 1 day, in fact, it's 1 billion years.... but still, it is not enough for such Genesis to claim that such 7 billion of creation.... instead, Science estimated it at around 16 billion years.... for this reason, BIBLE is not the source of information.... for SCIENCE too is made by God too, and to think that all matters inside universe is all made by God, therefore, SCIENCE too is a part of Bible also made by God... what you see in the night sky is only the visible Stars, as planets cannot be seen by naked eye because planets doesn't have a heat generation by themselves.... Science can identify only a planet if it bypassed to the star and created a shadow like an eclipse moon shadow.... and to take a note too that not all planets need a star on its systems, by that, this is so extremely hard to view on the low powered giant space telescopes.... if there are 1 billion stars in the known universe, therefore, there are also at least 9 billion planets in the known universe.... as the ratio goes: 1 star for every 9 planets.... all of the billions of stars and 9 million estimated planets are found only on 1 galaxy alone for example our own galaxy the "Milky Way Galaxy" not to mention those billions of Stars and another estimated 9 plus billions of planets in other galaxies such as "Andromeda Galaxy" and there are plenty of Galaxies to even more in a single universe.... but science suspected to there are plenty of universes around.... they called it: Multi-verse.... you mention other species or extraterrestrials in other exo-planets or planets which is hospitable to life? well.... that is what Ferdinand Magellan and Christopher Columbus think if they are present too on their land, is are there any people living across the ocean? or we will only fall unto ocean's edge like a giant waterfall? and Ferdinand Magellan convinced that there are people living at the Philippine Island and Christopher Columbus convinced that there are people living at the New World now known as America

There are about 200 billion other galaxies out there and each galaxy contain around 200 billion stars and several planets orbiting these stars. So in fact there are trillions of other planets in the universe. But the reason we cannot see them or communicate with them is because of the vast sizes of the galaxies and the vast distances in between these galaxies. Our own galaxy is spread around 100,000 light years. So if you stand on one side of your galaxy and lit something then its light will take 100,000 years to cross our galaxy at the speed of 3,00,000 km/sec(1,86,000 miles per second).

correct, and no one ever break the nature's universal top speed, the SPEED OF LIGHT.... even with the most latest alien technology they have, they can't still break the nature's top speed of light.... it is like comparing to ask: How far is far? and the answer is FAR.... as, speed of light is the only nature's top speed...

Hi insulin, I see that you are curious to know if we are alone, once even I was curious to know if we are alone and it took me approximately 7-8 years to get some solid proof that yes in this universe we are also like ants to some higher level civilization who can not be explained or understood with our intelligence level. I have a few discussions on this topic, I've shared so many proofs in my discussions, if you wish, you may check this discussion: http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/2547864.aspx You will find so many sources (Web pages and videos) those will answer all your questions in this regard. Enjoy mylot !!!

Hi insulin, Just a few thousand years ago, most people around the "Old World," mostly European and Middle East nations believed the world is flat and the limits are only the known horizons where landmarks can be seen. For most of them, the world only existed as far as the explored continents trod by conquerors, traders and merchants. Some mathematicians, however, claimed that the world is round and actually can be circumnavigated. When the compass was invented and sailing by star navigation became possible, just imagine the excitement of a "whole new world" being discovered by intrepid adventurers who braved the unknown and sailed beyond the limits of their "known universe." Our situation is very much similar to them. We are aware of worlds beyond our own, yet we cannot yet reach them due to the space-time and navigation constraints beyond our own solar system. If we can break through these barriers, just imagine all the possible new worlds out there, waiting to be discovered, places "where no man has ever gone before."

excellent idea.... Christopher Columbus and Ferdinand Magellan are all very lucky because they can invent a big wooden sailing ship that can sail across the angry oceans and bad weather... but those Scientist as today's time until now, they didn't yet invent space ship that can travel at the near speed of light.... and if ever Science can invent space ships that can travel to a speed of light, it is not enough reasons that can explore other exo-planets suspected to hospitable life... imaging other planets to be reach from earth to that planet takes 100,000 light years of traveling in a speed of light will reach also exactly 100,000 years of travel, now, if you are a human being and your life is only 80 years of life, then, how can you deal with the remaining 99,920 of years extension to live left? it's only a one way ticket of space travel..... but if you are planning to go back and forth... then another 100,000 light years to spent making a total of 200,000 light years is required to travel to the planet 100,000 light years away in a speed of light... but no such space ships as of now invented that can travel at that great speed.... and also try to remember that universe is also full of dusts and rocks and gasses and in some distant corners there are other asteroid belts too like those found in between Mars and Jupiter, that you only notice if your space ship is already colliding to the dusts and stones because you can't control anymore if your space ship's speed is speed of light.... no choice, but to travel the matrix of space SLOW.... and that is the reason for the space ship is hard to reach the nearest planet for sure.... as the speed turns to slower so you can drive the ship in an accuracy way.

hi, actually i had watched in youtube about the galaxies and universe, and i found out that there are many planets sorrounding our planet earth and even the universe where we belong,so i think that we are not alone living here in universe and many galaxies out there.we just dont know yet until no evidence.

I suspect that those who think "here are only one creation by God and that's us" were the same people who thought the Earth was flat and that Isolationism was a good way to deal with other nations by the U.S. (that was actually its international policy before WWI and they tried to do it again after it...

I never believe that we are alone in the universe. As the universe is so huge and we don't know what is out there. It must be something we don't know yet. So anything is possible, including the aliens. I love China

I study the bible, myself, but I haven't encountered anything in the bible that talks about the universe in it's own nature. There is heaven, this I believe. But there was no mention of other planets, maybe the sun and stars at night, but topics about other planets and other life forms - nothing specific was mentioned in the bible. And the universe is big. The more advanced our technology becomes, the bigger the universe gets. I don't think we can limit God. So it's very possible that we're not alone in the universe.

I believe that we are not alone in the universe;it is so big and there are so many galaxies that I think it's very likely that life conditions developed somewhere else in the universe, but I'm sure those life forms are completely different from what we have here on Earth.I suppose that one day there will be an encounter between two completely different worlds, one of them being ours, but it's still a long time in Earth years before that historical encounter takes place.

I'm not sure that we're alone. There are a lot of mystic thing and "something" around us.It may untangible, but I can feel their presence
