How to get refferals?

How do you get refferals? It's challenging to get referals well at least for me. What's your technique if you want to share it. Do you just ask your friends to join?

hi aishabr honestly i do tell to my friends this link but they are not that interested, so what i do i invite my family and my boyfriend, i do also post sometime my referral link at twitter or at facebook and invite some at my facebook, some other friends also.

I have gotten a few of my family member to join as well as my yahoo friends but they were not active very long and now 3 years later they are not active anymore!
