Ever seen a Bear (in MI)

Are there lots of bears in Northern Michigan? How do people who live there deal with that.

I live in Northern Michigan & yes, there are alot of black bears. Some people even have them come right into their back yards! They do this looking for food so if you have a bird feeder or pet food outside they might come into your yard but they are skiddish & shy. (But still dangerous!) It's an awesome sight to see them up close & they are just a part of our norm here in N.M.
