Hi! Congrats on the new addition! Bet you're going through all sorts of emotions. :-) I had my 2nd last August! I do have some ideas on what to create that should be easy to do. See what you think. 1) try a cloth book that has all sorts of fabrics in it ranging from jean to silk to felt materials 2) a CD with soothing music (library may have something such as Celtic Woman and Mozart) so the baby can sleep. Just test them first. 3) Do you have photos lying around? This would be a great time for you to put them on CD so they'll be preserved for the coming generations. Also, put in stories so the uniqueness doesn't get lost to history. Was there anything particularly funny or special about a photo or a trip? 4) Make a quilt out of something memorable. Did you see the film Eclipse when Bella visits her mother and her mom made a quilt for her out of t-shirts of all the places they had been? Just some ideas and I hope they'll work!

Im going to put all my photos into albums that i bought today as I have loads and they are already on the pc and laptop, I am also going to do your cd idea and play it to baby whilst in my tummy and for also when baby arrives. I got the bits to make a patchwork quilt today and will start that this evening. Wish me luck.

You could get some patterns, buy material in your local market and make baby clothes. Last winter I bought my disabled son and poncho off the internet. The lady had made it when she was pregnant and now her baby son is born she doesn't have anymore time for making more baby clothing. You could get old frames got at jumble sales and use old cards to make attractive wall pictures. You could make a teddy bear for your baby using fake fur and stuffing. My sister use to knit blankets from old pairs of ladies tights. You might like to make a toy box using wood and paint in with child safe paint. Good luck with the birth of your baby that is due on November 18th.

It is possible to make your own baby wipes. All you need to do is buy strong paper towels like Viva, Brawny or Bounty and fold them into squares. Bring water to a boil with a squirt of baby soap in it and mineral oil then place the homemade wipes into a container and add the mixture of mineral oil, baby soap and water after the mixture has cooled. Shake the container with a lid on it and voila you have your own baby wipes. It is much cheaper than buying them.

To be honest at the moment I can buy 5packets of baby wipes for £3.50 at my supermarket and there good quality and that works out really cheap and to be honest ill be too lazy to keep up with something like that, thank you for your idea though.
