We just started this weekend, yet we still have a long way to go. I think the whole shopping thing adds to the fun of Christmas.

Yes the shopping dose because it's the look on their faces when they see what we have gotten then that's the best of it all though. That and the idea that for one day everyone puts all of their problems aside so that everyone can be happy. It might be for just one day a year but it's still all family together and happy. Thank you for responding.

Thats sounds a little like my husband's line of thinking. He don't like to start shopping now and i've been out of work for a few months so i havn't had the money to start just yet.

We are half way done. But I am really excited, this is the first year my girls will really get into it. There 22 months and into everything. We are getting the tree ready on Monday. I can't decide real or fake. Santa's being brought up all the time. But as you can see from the picture thier not there yet. hee-hee. But thier presents are all bought I just have to wrap them. It's everyone else I have to finish. Yuck thier the hardest. They all have needs and wants. Where the hirls are just toys.

I don't buy present's for the adults anymore. I just get for the kids that are school age and younger. The only adults that i really buy for is my mother and my in-laws and my husbands 90 year old grand mother. I set a limit amount for them and buy just one present. So for the in-laws they will have a $20 limit and get just 1 gift total and the grandmother will get $10 from us because she has so much stuff and we have no idea as to what to get her. Now my mother and stepfather only get 1 gift as well and thats a $20 limit to. Christmas if for the children and so i tell everyone get us 1 gift and then spend all of the money on the kids.... I enjoy watching them open the presents not watching the adults. Maybe this could help you a little with money issues for christmas. I used to get 1 gift for everyone but it cost way to much. Now it's all consolidated. Have a good christmas.
