Hey folks! It won't be long now that Georgia will officially join the anti-Latino sentiment in this country..WOW..Can you imagine that? I can't say as I'm surprised, tho I am quite disappointed by it..And for the record, I am not myself Latino. I am german/keltic from Ohio, which isn't relevant except to some. Its for them I state it. Its funny how history does repeat itself, at least in part. It wasn't too long ago, historicly speaking, that a bunch of folks came to this country, much like the latinos today, uninvited. Tho they were uninvited they expected to be able to stay because they had the 'right' to be able to be free from whatever it was they were running from. They also had the 'right' to be who they were and the 'right' to live as it pleased them and when the times came to adhere to the sovereignty of the nation..There were folks here already remember!!..Rather than adhere they set out to annihilate the previous residents, as was their 'right' to freedom from that which they so freely handed out..How lucky we should feel that the Latinos do not have that same egomaniacal sentiment towards sovereignty issues! We would be in a world of hurt! Another historical point comes to mind, European again. It seems that economic stress was at the roots of that one too..And as is human, it seems, when there are problems of any sort, we tend to drift away from our mirrors and look elsewhere for the cause of those problems. In this case it happened to be the Jews standing outside the window of blame. I suspect I needn't expound upon that one. And I won't compare the Latino economy and the banishment to it to the concentration camps, much as I'm tempted. Obviously, I am against this whole anti-Latino movement. It smells of something historicly putrid. Dare I say, anymore, if you want anti-American sentiment and attitudes you need look no further than America itself . That's a shame. We, as a nation, have become what, thru many wars, we condemned.. What's your notion?

From what I know there are immigration laws. I don't understand how the immigration law if it is good or oppressive but they are there. I don't even know if America had laws against having too many Irish Immigrants. I don't remember hearing the US GOVT telling those Irsihmen at Ellis Island to return to their ship and sail back. I have heard Latinos saying "We are just getting back the land that was taken from us." I really don't know what to think. The US GOVT tries to control things too much. Let the states handle it.
