Photos with resumes?

Ok, this may be a dumb question, but I'm going to ask it anyways! If a job asks for a photo with your resume or application, is it okay to use a party picture? I have no camera and no way to really take a good normal picture. However, there is a current party picture of me that could be cropped to just show my face, and I actually like it. The job I'm thinking about is at a restaurant/bar... so maybe that would be okay?

I never see any job asking for picture with resumer or application right of the bat! Your resumer is enough and if the receiver like what on then he should call you for an interview! What happend if the receiver received your picture with resumer? He can decide by your looks that you wouldn't qualify without even knowing you and for this reason, for this reason, I highly advise against including picture right of the bat!

Ya, I agree marinarovi, about getting an interview first! I don't think by including a full picture has nothing to do with task, maybe the job offer want to see how expertienced is the applicant! If architect want to see applicant experience, why not just include 3D image on resumer instead of person?

Hi LadyNikon, funny nickname for someone who doesn't have a camera... I think it's ok if you can crop just your face and it's not too smily. (some smile is good, but radiant happiness may be too much for a resume) Good luck on your job search!

Haha, I'm hoping to rectify the non-camera situation soon! I do take pictures, but the name actually comes from a movie I was in love with in high school.

Never heard of that movie... I hope you get your camera soon! As for the smiley part, I was talking of any CV in general, but I agree with soonernation here, I think a happy person is the best kind of employee for a restaurant/bar or any job dealing with lots of people.
