Will people give real honest advice to new users?

I'm new to this site and others like it. I feel like an idiot but I'm really lost and would appreciate someone willing to tutor me. I would like to write articles but it seems most info on this is negative. Is there anywhere that shows examples of the format that is being sought? Please any help on any way to make money will be a big help.

Yes, there are some here who are more than happy to help, myself included, except I don't know as much as some here..

Yes, mylotters is very helpful especially with new members and will surely give their best to answer your question. What are you really wanted to know? If you want to know about article writing and earn from it, it does only need a thorough knowledge about the subject by searching and studying on it. You just need to put what's in your mind into writing and the ideas will go freely. You can write based in your experienced, expertise, hobby, review from a TV or news, etc. Then, if you want to learn more about earning online, there is a section here on mylot, "make extra Money" there is a lot of topic there of how to earn online.
