Is the incident in "The Fourth Kind" really happening in the world?

No, I'm pretty certain it isn't really happening. There is almost zero probability (and absolutely zero evidence)that intelligent beings from another planet have ever, or will ever visit this planet. The universe is just too vast and the distances that they would have to overcome would be nearly impossible. You can't go faster than near light speed, in fact, probably much lower and stars are many many light years apart. In most cases it would take tens of thousands, even hundreds of thousands of years to make the trip.

Why do you say there is zero evidence that alien life form has visited the planet? There is reported sighting all over the world by hundreds of people at a time in different locations the same sightings??? I know a wikipedia is not a garentee of factual information but i think its ignorant to believe that we are the only planet with life living in this universe and anyone who believes otherwise is mad... its like when they said the world was flat and you could fall off the edge.
I beileve there is alot of information that is with held from the public, but what cannot be hidden is in the public eye and can not be written of as crazy stories when their are so many cases with huge similarities.

I haven't seen the film, although I would really like to, but in the trailers for it they were showing clips from the movie in a split screen with what was supposed to be the doctor (Milla Jovovich's character)'s actual interview footage. I never looked into it to find out if it was another Blair Witch or if her footage was real but it was supposed to be real.

what i found out about the "suppose to be" original footage included in the movie is all of them were staged for the purpose of the movie itself (after browsing through the internet).. but they did a good job because most of them are disturbing.. you should watch the movie.. it gave me goose bumbs the first time watching it..

Im sourcing myself a copy right now! I would love to see the movie! When i do watch it i will share my opinion of it here. I really do believe there are aliens out there some where?? I havn't seen one or would i reallu like to 
But i think its ignorant to believe that we are alone in this universe after all the reported sighting in the world over so many years i just cant see how everyone can be crazy. Its scary to think though how much we dont know? What they are hiding from us, because as soon as there are all these reported sightings by a group or many groups of people in different places. There media and government write it off as nothing and we never hear of it again.
There is an extensive list of ufo sightings and alien encounters that have been reported to authorities and media over the years... i also think about all the stories that havn't been told. I think they can definately make it here from there planet despite what the sceptics think. I hope they know of other planets that arn't so trashed for when we destroy ours!!
