dear friends, my son is a 2rd grader and have learned his english course for two semesters. However, his english teacher is a Chinese and is not preficient in english spoken. My son is not keen on english learning as he thinks learning english just for exams.I wish he would develop intense interest in english through making english spoken friends. i mean,i want to find someone who is from a english spoken country and wishs to make friend with my son. thanks

My English teacher is a total moron and I never attended British courses(unlike most of my classmates) but I did learn to understand and speak English by playing videogames, watching TV series and movies and of course reading in English. You should find out what are your son's hobbies and try to put some English into them. Having some English-speaker friends would be very useful as well, they could videochat using skype.

Involve your son into reading, or watch English movies with subtitles on it. That's whatIi did.

I think it would be good to have your son go through the English courses that are available in the internet. Now a days lots of videos are available in youtube, which contains the learning videos with fun for the small children. I think if your friend gets good friends who speak English most probably he will be able to speak English efficiently. I think watching English movies also helps to improve the English.

where are you from dlzxlsx? in my country English is a foreign language. we never use it for a spoken in our daily life. that's why it makes some students consider that learning English is just for the exam. they are lack of practicing and difficult to be an active English. those condition is also happen to my students.
