HOW ur pets cheer u up when ur upset?

im wondering how ur pets react to ur emotions,,do they pay attention to ur mood? when they find ur upset or unhappy,,will they cheer u up or comfort u in their ways..???? for me,, when im crying ,my dog come to me ,,thank me, or lick my tears..he will leave me alone untill he doesnt hear crying from me anymore,,,,,even when he hear us coughing,,he will do the same way... i really appreciate that...will ur pets behave the same way when ur in the similar situation? or they cheer up in a very different way,,im really curious about this,,tell me

My doggie (Yorkie) sure seems to follow my moods. Recently when my uncle who was more like my dad passed away my furgirl laid in bed with me and licked my tears away. I wouldn't trade her for anything in the world.

Pets have a ways of sensing our emotions. They will know if we are undergoing great depressions. Just the looks of my pet is enough for my stress to go away. But what really comforts me is when she comes to me gently and then rub her head on my side or my legs or any part of my body. She really lights me up.

Hello Kikishine and welcome to myLot!
My dog is also sensitive at my moods. When we're walking and I become upset from one reason or another, she starts to walk nicely by my side, reaching my hand with her wet nose, trying to distract me from my worries. She doesn't do that when I'm not upset so she does feels something and tries to change my mood.

When I'm upset my dog usually bark and play with me., Just simple actions for me and i keep on hugging my dog and it will just make me happy. :)
