The current anti-union sentiment

Am I right or am I wrong that anti-union sentiment, in the USA, is higher now than it has been in a long time? To me labor unions are being blamed for everything that ills America right now. Currently we have two sports leagues trying to crush their players union, multiply states across the country are trying to strip collective bargaining rights from their public employees, and one of the excuses for the failing of the US manufacturing base is because of unions. With corporations cutting hours, cutting benefits, sometimes doing away with full time status so they do not have to pay for benefits not we actually need stronger labor unions?
