There are so many social networking sites these days!! Face Book, Twitter Google. Google Ad Sense and so on. Were you around when none of these kinds of things were not available? I do have a Face Book account again but I don't really like it much but I do enjoy being able to talk to my friends there. What if there were no Face Book or Twitter or any other social networks did not exist? What would you do? Would it bother you? I have Twitter account there too but I have to say I am really confused on that thing!!! 
I just don't get it when they say you are following someone or someone is following you, What is that? I have not got to be here on My Lot but after all my experiences with other sites I have to say I find myself right back here at My Lot because the other sites are not like this one at all and here is my favorite!! 
What about you? Do you have a favorite or do you find after experincing other sites coming back here like me?

Hi ja hernandez:I feel almost the same. In my case I would say that facebook because all of my friends are there so it's the best network where I can b ein touch with them and know what they are doing, also sharing with them what I think. Twitter... I don't get it. Happends the same here 
it's just a site where you can write little sentences. I can do the same on facebook. So for me 1. Facebook and after that Mylot. Here I have pure entertainment, I enjoy my time here. But for me Mylot is more like a forum rather than a social network.

I use Fave Book too but not very often I just use it like you for family and friends but I really like it here so much.

I don't get twitter it is weird though I am there I have a hard time negotiating it there. I do use Facebook and connect with family and friends a lot there. I also use Gather.com and like it a lot. I just have so much going on in life I don't get there or on mylot as much as I want to. I don't understand the following on twittere either that is so stupid. I get people say they are following me. Following me where, for what and why. Really dumb. I like playing frontierville on Facebook. I rarely get to myspace or Yuwie and someone invited me to Yearbook and it is more for teenagers and rather stupid as well. So Facebook, Gather and Mylot are my favorites I frequent the most.

Yes, I hear people talking about many social networking sites. Some are so fascinated with those sites. So far, I have not joined any of those sites. I joined myLot four years ago, and I am very glad that I did. I am staying on active in myLot community.

I would not miss Facebook at all if it didn’t exist because although I have an account there and I do respond to my friends’ messages I could just as easily phone or email them. I don’t find anything particularly exciting about Facebook, Twitter etc. and I much rather come to MyLot and have fun ‘chatting’ to everyone here. I have tried others but I too always end up back to the Lot!

I believe we survived without them just fine in the past. Many moons ago. I could definitely live without those sites. I have a Facebook account however, I don't use it much. Everyone else posts for me. Thanks to the loyal friend updates or my page would be blank. I opened a Twitter account however I've never used it. I'm like you it really makes no sense. Or maybe I just don't like it period.
I actually think the computer is ruining our minds. People use to write letters to communicate long distance. I can bet a student today has never written a letter. If there is one, I'd be shocked. And how great was the spelling or grammar in the letter.

I survived in the past as well, I have a Face Book account to but I hardly ever go there I do use it for Microworkers though sometimes but I think I would be fine if all of it did not exist like in the past, I would miss it here at My Lot though.

Social networking is always in the stream of networking of the friends. Many of the persons would meet their old friends or 'lost' friends through this social networking though. I think in this modern world the need of social networking is very much important for everyone to keep in touch.

If facebook did not exist I would go back to phoning my friends and family more often. But it is convenient sometimes to shed a quick smile to someone there. As for twitter basically when someone is following you and or you them it is almost like saying they are a listed friend therefore, both get one anothers updates and or links one shares. This way they do not have to search for them.
I do enjoy myLot as the many like you we get to interact and always know that something will be responded to and or comment. Whereas, sadly in facebook sometimes you post something and never hear back and or maybe days later.
Comparing the two though different types of sites. I do say myLot is far better because here I know many that I usually interact with are commonly interacting here too.

That is so true about Face Book sometimes you get no responses and it kinda makes me think like they are ignoring me and they are some of the people I used to work with but I have to say that my family on there are the only ones that don't ignore me there and that is nice but I like it here so much better! And like you said on Face Book I will sometimes get a response from the people that I worked with but days and sometimes even weeks later. I like it here better too.

I only have a facebook account and it's on private mode. Only my friends can see it. I don't post pictures there, but i have it to be able to see pictures taken by my friends where i am on it. And of course, to be able to see how my daughter is doing at Facebook.
But as to following someone on twitter, i don't like it. It's as if i am so nosey on others' people life doing that. I have other productive and enjoyable things to do, like Mylotting !

For me, I still prefer using the phone rather than using social networking site in contacting my love ones. I always feel good and relief whenever I hear the voice of my love ones. Although in case that I cannot contact them through phone, I also use social networking sites and other means(even snail mail).

In Mylot you get the experience of sharing ideas, thoughts and at the same time you earn some amount. Of course I also have facebook and twitter and I reply whenever any reference comes based on that. have a good day.
