Forget about the price tag...

Today as i was singing to Jessie J's price tag it suddenly hit me to discuss something related to it.
When i got hooked to earning sites like mylot and the paid to chat site, I met a lot of people who called themselves my friends. I was so naive then and i really considered them my real true to life friends. Then I realized it's not the real thing at all, except for a few! Most of them befriended me for the sake of getting referrals. It's all about money! Everybody was so obsessed getting referrals so they can get money. Some even told me to cheat for the sake of MONEY!
So like Jessie J said, "Why is everybody so obsessed, money can't buy us happiness. Can we all slow down and enjoy right now, guarantee we'll be feeling alright!"
So I'll end this by singing, it's not about money, money money We don't need your money, money, money We just wanna make the world dance forget about the price tag!

Most of the people now work hard for money eventhough what they are doing is really not their passion.I had my duty mates at the same time they are working in a call center but they are still working hard eventhough they don't have a big salary and they are just working for the sake of money.Yes referrals sometimes help but as what you had experienced will better be careful sometimes in choosing our fiends because most of them take advantage of us.

And that's one thing i really hate, being abused. I never abused anybody and i make sure i don't abuse the trust given to me, thus i expect to be treated the same way.

I also like the lyrics of that song. Real happiness doesn't have price tags, much more isn't something we could quantify and buy out of our money. But hell yeah, people are so obsessed about money, seems like every one is so consumed with the idea of earning. I believe our friendship my friend is beyond mylot, facebook, ro2 or whatever. We are real friends (well, I am considering you as my real friend on and off line).

That song is my current favorite song right now. It makes me smile and try to sing along with it whenever I hear it. True, money doesn't buy the most essential things in life like happiness and friendship. Have a nice day Toni! Beautiful pic by the way.

Hi!
You're right. It seems like almost everyone nowadays is all up to money. If you can help me make money, fine we're good. If not, sorry. It seems like that's the mindset of most people. I can understand that we all need and want money, but I don't think we need to bad things to make it.
I believe that bad things never succeed (at least in the long run).
Anyways, I like that song too. It shows how most people view the world and money nowadays. They are controlled by money, not them controlling the money. And it's sad.
Let's just keep ourselves away from those guys..

Thanks so much for this one. Seriously, i haven't found such horrible friends here in mylot, that's why i quit other sites and stayed here despite the slow earnings. Happiness is more important to me here than money.

You're absolutely right! There are a lot of people with lots of money but they're lives are so stressing and they are not jolly people. Unlike others, who may lack money, still find time to smile.. because it's not about how much money we have but how contented we are with what we have and how happy we become with our lives.

Yes, money is just a temporary thing that can disappear like thin air. It can be taken away with a blink of an eye. So can you just imagine if you destroyed your relationship with your family and friends in exchange of money and then it would be gone? I bet you would go crazy.
But we aint like that and we aren't gonna be like that.

To be honest, at first, it was all about the money for me.. Then it changed when I realize that I get more and more frustrated every time I think about earning more than I can chew. So now, I still work hard and try to earn as much but with more ease and comfort. I like to learn something through discussions and other sites and for me, aside from the friends you gain, I love the fact that my knowledge of a lot of things is constantly growing. You're right. It's not all about the money. By the way, I like that song a lot.

There's nothing wrong with earning a lot of money. Just make sure you're not putting the money as your first priority as there are things far more important than money. It's you ability, integrity, wisdom and personality. Without those, money is nothing.

I like that song too. Yeah you're right, some just wanted referrals so they can earn more. At first I was like that. Very eager to have referrals but still I can't get some haha. So I decided to concentrate here in Mylot. Aside from earning I really learn a lot. And who knows will have really good friends here. Because some guy broke my heart I wanted to be busy all the time. I came across this site. I enjoyed posting and participating in discussions. Earning while learning.

for those who don't know it yet, greed is good. it keeps the world moving. for those that say that money can't buy happiness, i say to them, thye don't know where to shop!

When i first came to MYlot, it was all for Money. 
But not anymore, because when i am mylotting, i feel my stress will little by little be gone, because i enjoy posting. In addition, i am happy that in the end, i have made some earnings.

It's good. The longer you stay in mylot and the more you enjoy, money seems to be the least priority. It's just like one of the benefits you get from being here.

Money is a motivator initially but after some stage it cannot motivate. In fact I use to take classes for Rs.60 per hour say about 10 years back and from there slowly it was risen to Rs.100 per hour and nowadays I go only when it is Rs.250 per hour while staying in Chennai. (roughly $5 per hour) Now in USA since I cannot go for any other area, I do spend my time here-- apart from preparing study material for some programs whenever I get call from chennai.
Imagine this element of money is not there --possibly 50% of us may not be here including myself. something is better than nothing. In the absence of this work, I may be watching movies only.

Honestly speaking, when I was invited to sign up for mylot, I was really after for the money that I would definitely earn. But eventually, then and there, I had so much fun reading and responding to anyone's posting. I learn from each and everyone here.
I get to set aside my desire to get a lot of money and everyday, I get excited to read postings and can't wait to respond to it. :)

Glad to hear about that and you're not alone. Most of the people are here to earn money at first but they just fell in love with mylot and now money has just become the secondary objective for being here.
When i joined mylot i didn't have any idea that i was in for the money. Never though i would get paid but i just continued participating anyway!

It would be a wonderful world if money did not rule over us, but then it does motivate you to create some amazing things. I mean look at the Guiness adverts they are unbelievable. And all motivated by money. So a price tag can be a good thing.
