Exotic pet you own

Before we used to have dogs, cats, aquarium fishes and birds as our pets but as the new generation came also brought the hit of having exotic animals as pets like large venomous spiders, scorpions, snakes, carnivorous fishes, reptiles and even wild cats as well for those who can afford.
Exotic animal as pet really became a hit. Many exotic pet lovers would say it really express their personality and it brings something inside that would make them proud and happy. I do also have exotic pets and the fact that their opinions are true. At home, I owned a python snake and piranha but of course with license. Its interesting to know about them although risky because they are wild animals but still knowing their nature is a bit of excitement and spice to your life having the knowledge about these animals.
Do you owned an exotic animals? And why do you choose them?

I am not one to have an exotic pet! I know alot of people like the sankes. like pythons! I have never heard of a person owning a piranha fish! That is new to me! If a person likes that kind of stuff so be it! I just don't like people who try to own wild cats like cougers,lions,tigers and any other breed wild cat,big or small! That is crazy and they aren't pets! These animals are wild animals and belong in the wild! Same when it comes to bears and I have heard a few times in my life where someone really owned one! I also hate when people who own pets,any type,abuse or neglect them! I know not everyone one does but it is nice to know there are responsible pet owners out there!

Most of your comments guys are true specially about wild cats and bears because some species of it are endangered. Its ok to have these pets but you should not just have them just because you want it. They are living things like us who have the right to live if you want to take responsibility to them then you should take it seriously somehow like raising a baby fragile and you should their needs. You must have the knowledge about them.

I don't like exotic pets and surely I will not allow exotic animals to be around my place of abode.
I believe exotic animals have a better place to stay and that is in their natural habitation. I believe it is deprivation of their right to enjoy living a normal life if I would cage them. They can never be happy if not given the freedom to find life with their fellow animals.

I would love to own exotic animals. I'm not sure if I ever would though because I'd feel too bad that they weren't in their natural environment. I think owning exotic fish, snakes, spiders, or scorpions is ok but I think it's sad when people own tigers and other big cats and keep them in small cages or in their house. Yes it's cool to own them, but I don't think having an exotic pet would say anything about my personality.
How do you go about getting a license to own them? I've always been curious about that
