This is a kitty that lives at the nursing home where my husband's mother is. She is fixed and lives at the home and very well spoiled and taken care of. Look at her eyes. I have seen a lot of cat eyes in my time but none as green as these. To me she is so beautiful. Hopefully will get to see her tomorrow and give her some Temptation treats. I usually do get to see her unless she is sleeping somewhere. Hope everyone enjoys the beautiful picture of this kitty!

That is a beautiful cat! I love those eyes. I think it is great that the nursing home has its own resident cat that provides the residents with enjoyment. There should be one at every nursing home since so many times the residents have nothing to live for and if there is an animal there it might give the residents a reason to wake up in the morning.

Yes a lot of them give her much attention. When she has had enough though she disappears to rest from them.

I remember when my mom was in a home for rehab purposes. They allowed us to bring her dog (a beagle) in to visit her. We would also take him to the other rooms and it would brighten up the day for many of the people there. If a nursing home or rehab center doesn't have a resident pet, they should try to have someone bring a pet in a couple of times a week because it really does help improve people's outlook on life. That really makes me want to get a pet as soon as I can. But not while in the motel. Have a great week!!!

she is a beautiful cat with beautiful eyes and I'm glad that the nursing home recognizes that people need to have a loving animal around and have her as someone else asked, what is her name?

They just call her Kitty. Some of the residents that has memory loss think its a cat they owned so they will try to call her that. But she comes to Kitty. Simple and sweet enough LOL

Wow! Jewel eyes. What's the little girl's name? I bet a lot of the residents would deteriorate quickly if she wasn't there for them.

They just call her Kitty. But for some that have owned a cat before and their memory is gone they will try to call her the name of their cat.

She is lovely, her eyes are a beautiful colour and so is the rest of her too. I think having pets in nursing homes is a wonderful idea. The animals seem to know why they are there.

I have two cats LOL She lives at a nursing home for the elderly. They would miss her very much if someone took her away. I always look forward to seeing her when I go though.

She is very pretty! Too bad she lives at the home, you could adopt her. It is very good that the home your mother-in-law is in has a pet. It is very helpful for old people to have something to give and receive affection. I read some of the other responses, I had a cat named Kitty also. She was the first of many cats, but her eyes weren't as green as yours.
