I always hear a lot of such stories, actually here alone in the Philippines, there are abpout thousands already, maybe because some parents have to go out of the country or come to the city to work, study, etc...
and also in other countries, maybe they have the same reason... im not so sure.
whatever reason you may have.. have you ever had the chance to encounter the same within your family?

Yes, i have to left my parents and other siblings behind when my hubby was being transferred to another town to work. I only able to meet them during festival season for a week, most of the time. Only on particular year, i am able to spend for nearly 2 weeks in my parents' home. I really hope that my hubby able to get transferred back to my parents area soon, so i won't be living faraway from them. We will buy another house nearby to my parents home. I really missed my parents a lot.

Yes. On my case I have to go from my hometown to another city miles away from my family because of work. For quite a few months I had a rough bout of homesickness considering that it was my first time being away from them.
But when I started to gain friends, things got easier. I learned a lot of things and I learned to be independent.
