Have you ever had a dream about being a world traveler? I for one have dreamt of being 1. And I started traveling ever since I was little but only in our country, The Philippines. Up to now I still travel in our tiny Island. It is a paradise, I tell ya! Beautiful waterfalls, Home of the large green turtles we called the Pawikan which we see everyday on our shores in Apo Island. We swim with them in the morning. Riding on their backs is one of the greatest experiences I've ever had in my life. I made a habit of making my trips memorable rather than just being there like a "tourist". I brand myself as a Traveller and not a Tourist. I have been to places like Hongkong & Saipan too. But for me, nothing beats home. So, share your travelling moments here. Wether it's good or bad. I would love to learn about your experiences too.:-)

When I was 20 years old I got made redundant from my job and it seemed way too challenging to get another job. I let out my cottage, got a working holiday visa for Australia and bought an airline ticket around my world. My trip lasted for just over one year. On it I traveled to California, Hawaii, Fiji, Australia, Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia. I am an independent traveler rather than a tourist.
I did another long haul trip which I spent months away when I was 29 years old. My teaching contact ended and I traveled off to New Zealand and the Pacific Islands of French Polynesia, the Cook Islands and Samoa. My last trip was to Colombia earlier this year. Last year I spent my birthday in Canada. The year before last I went to Cape Town and the Garden Route.
I like to visit tropical islands, do some snorkeling around coral reefs, visit cities with lovely looking buildings, see the native wildlife and look around historical sites. My best traveling moments have been climbing Mayan ruins, exploring a cave, seeing a penguin when I was sliding in the sand and snorkeling to see the rays plus small sharks. Wow!

wooooooow! that sounds a lot of fun max! would love to travel to those places that you have been to! It must have felt amazing when you experienced and got to see different cultures in every country you have been. I'm jealous! Guess I have a long way to go.hahaha I would love to go to places like Africa and Egypt. Hope I'd be able to travel around the world like you do. thanks for sharing your experiences. I'm inspired!:-)
