I've taught hundreds of people how to juggle. It's easier to learn now than ever with so many computer animations to watch. The basic juggling pattern is called Regular Cascade. Do a search for it sometime.
It takes about 20 minutes to learn to juggle. It takes a lifetime to master.

I can juggle 3 balls. It took me about 2 weeks to be able to exchange them in time and manage not to let them get away from my hands but I trained about 30m/day only, during sometimes where I had nothing to do.
Once you get it in your mind, the 3 ball cascade is quite easy :)
There are lots of sites explaining how to do it.
