Oooops my fingers were just too fast...

When i'm chatting using my phone, i'm very fond of using emoticons especially on BBM. The problem is sometimes my trackball moves fast and clicks on the wrong emoticon
! Sometimes instead of sending a smile, i send a kiss
! That puts me in an embarrassing situation and i would just say, "got the wrong smiley! sorry!"
Do you often get this kind of mistake while chatting because your fingers were just too fast and you hit the enter button too fast as well?

That makes a big difference coz you will still get the chance to correct and thus creating less mistakes and worst, being embarrassed.

I'm often so fast that I'll post a string of smiles (and I don't even use them) or I'll have a string of mistakes when typing. Of course this is when I either, get a new cell phone, or new keyboard of any kind. It can take me up to two months to go okay now I've got this and can resume typing at my no moral almost mistake-free speed. Of course typing fast carries its own risks so I do try to be carful when this happens.

I don't use many emotes excepts a smiley and a good luck one. I like to read the emotes from the other but then sending them is not for me.
I don't know why but I feel not good with sending them. It makes the discussion more emotional. In real life also I don't make many faces.

In my discussions here in mylot i don't use one as often as others do. However, when i'm chatting with my friends, it's more expressive to use emoticons especially if they are just online friends. It seems to create an illusion that i'm really laughing instead of just using lol!
Most men don't use emoticons. One of my English friend told me it's a girl thing.

Yeah you are right...when we type messages faster we made a lot of mistake.
..some time we misspelled..The main mistake I generally do during the time of sending..I sometimes send one's message to another..

That's funny! I have never done such thing though, i think because of the feature of my phone it seems impossible to be sending a message to a wrong person. But in my old phones before, i too experienced that.

I tend to type too fast too and since my input method is swype, i tend to have spelling errors coz they keep making words of their own for me. I get so mad and sometimes my texts look a mess, the words don't even make sense. So when I;m on my way, I have to stand still for a moment and type correctly.

I get the swype too in my android but not in BB, and i do make the same mistakes often in android with the spellings but not my fault lol. But with BB since it's qwerty keypad and no swype, i can spell perfectly but the trackball makes me miss that emoticon.

But yeah, I have that problem a lot. Not as much on my phone as I do on Skype. I've also sent the kissy face in replace of a smiling one. Although you can edit it if your fast enough, but that doesn't guarantee that the other person won't see it before you change it :/

No,I never have this problem because my phone does not have very good web operation as it is supposed to,so I cannot get onto myLot.

BBM is blackberry messenger for blackberry users. I have not made a mistake when it comes to mylot emoticons though.

hi,
sometimes it happen to me, especially when i use my ipod,because my ipod have only small screen and my finger can touch large space of it sometimes we unintended to touch the other icon and we send the wrong of it like what happen to you.and sometimes as what you have said that our finger is really faster.
