How do you define GREEN ARCHITECTURE? In this globalization era, people tend to have everything run in GREEN, starting from a small electrical appliance until and high skyscraper. In my very own opinion, green architecture simply means that the buildings that built to consume less energy and produce less carbon dioxide. Thus, most of the architects decided to plant grasses or flowers in a building to make it "GREEN". However, does it the real meaning of being a green architecture? I am afraid not so. Green building is measured by a tool called "Green Building Index(GBI)" in Malaysia and those building that really passes the test is only being qualified to be called a truly green building/ intelligent building.

Green Architecture means as you have rightly pointed at the start of your topic is to put up structures using the least amount of energy and using techniques that do not pollute the air. In a way planting greenery around could also contribute in a small way but conservation of water and energy could be a part of this effort.

Wow, that's a very constructive comment of yours. Thanks very much!! :) Anyway, I do think people aren't doing this GREEN thing yet in building construction. What's your opinion on this?

Unless rules are breathed down one's throat no one will do that of their own volition. It is time therefore for governments everywhere to step in.
