In American system -
1 million = 1,000,000
1 billion = 1,000,000,000
1 trillion = 1,000,000,000,000
In English system -
1 million = 1,000,000
1 billion = 1,000,000,000,000
1 trillion = 1000,000,000,000,000,000
In modern computer system -
1 megabyte = 1,000,000 byte
1 gigabyte = 1,000,000,000 byte
1 terabyte = 1,000,000,000,000 byte

The order is Million, billion, Trillion.
Here is something from the net that may help clarify:
"Another way to think of it is that a million seconds is 12 days, but a billion seconds is more than 31 years, and a trillion seconds is 300 centuries,"
Almost like Mil for one, bi for two and tri for three. So to break it down further it is like:
million = one thousand times one thousand.
billion = one million times one million.
A billion = a thousand million, and a trillion is a thousand billion.
So if you use the order I listed above it is higher and higher as it goes. lol

Million, Billion, Trillion, and wouldn't it be nice if we had that much money? Don't feel bad I really stink at math, I only remember that becuse I used to say "a million trillion billion" and even though I had the order backwards lol I still remembered the correct way.

Let's see...
A million has 6 zeros before a decimal point. e.g 1,000,000
A billion has 9 zeros before a decimal point. e.g 1,000,000,000
A trillion, I suppose has 12 zeros before a decimal point. e.g. 1,000,000,000,000
In this respect, a millionaire is someone who owns at least a million; a billionaire, a least a billion; and a trillionaire, at least a trillion.
Those with the most zeros owns the most. So, trillionaire gets first place; billionaire, second place; and then, the millionaire takes last place.
Problem solved!

If I had that much money, I would care which came first the chicken or the egg. Actually, I'm a math wiz. I'm not sure who's genes I got because neither one of my parents or brothers are good a math.
Millionaire: 1,000,000
Billionaire: 1,000,000,000
Trillianaire: 1,000,000,000,000
Hope this is helpful. Best Wishes!

Me either. I don't think I want to take the time to find out. Sounds like a lot more research then I want to do. I would rather be on Mylot then researching whether the chicken or the egg came firt. Best Wishes!

Oh, the most is trillion. I am also not good at math. perhaps I would be good at it if I would spend time and effort. But I really don't like it that's why I just don't bother. But the results not liking it wasn't goo. I took the board exams for teachers and failed. I only got 71.40. I just had to read all the math questions and just chose whatever answers I feel is best. Haha. Well, anyway, I guess teaching just isn't for me. I just complied to what my family wants me to try on.But I graduated AB English. I am just more into language.
