What does 'I dont think Im fading it' mean?

I just heard my brother say it, and I dont want to ask him cause I dont want to sound dumb with his slang. Does anyone know? More like 'I dont think im fading the navy'? does that mean he doesnt think he is going anymore, or he still wants to go?
