A woman drowned on a pool and died and her body is floating on water for 2 weeks but people didnt notice. in fact people still swam in the water ignoring her corpse. this public pool have lifeguards but no one saved her while she is drowning. a little boy witnessed her drowning but the lifeguards ignored her. for 2 weeks no one noticed a corpse floats in the pool, people still swims in the pool. its a scary and disturbing news. why did the lifeguards didnt do their jobs. they should have saved her and why people still swam in a pool with a floating corpse on it. source http://www2.turnto10.com/news/2011/jun/29/20/unconscious-woman-found-fall-river-pool-ar-572606/

That's really sad but how come people didn't noticed it, it might have smelled real bad , did everyone's nose was clogged? Its really sad life guards should save people rather than ignoring a drowning person. Now i am scared a bit of pools , who can we trust when there lifeguards who are supposed to help us will ignore us.

That's what am thinking too,a body in the pool and no one notice it? An what about the people who clean the pool? so for two whole weeks that pool ,have not been clean. Those life guard should get fired, and the person who claim to have clean the poor. This is a sad story ,trust me it is.

This story really discouraged me to use public pools. Its a letdown for I love to swim. for sure no one cleans the pool because the body would have been found earlier.

The entire staff is on administrative leave until they can do a full investigation. It was two days, not two weeks. I guess a nine year old boy that came there with the woman tried to get help and the lifeguards ignored him. This is very disturbing. I hope they find the person that ignored the boy and prosecute to the fullest extent of the law.

Its a shame that lifeguards were not doing what they are supposed to do which is to save lives and protect the users of the pool.

And to ignore the little boy when he asked them for help is deplorable.

Wow. This is how little people pay attention to their surroundings and fellow people. I am so surprised that not only did the people who were right next to her not notice, but the lifeguards? How could they not? And how could anyone not smell that? Are the people who swam in the pool going to get sick? I mean, a rotting corpse is bound to have some nasty bacteria going on, especially when in water.

sorry for my late response, I was very sick the last couple of weeks, but I'm okay now. I heard the pool is always crowded by people, her body might have sank in water.

Is this even true? i mean how come no one noticed for two days? that is like impossible..because for one that body would be bloated..and is the pool really that crowded that the body is not noticed?

its featured in primetime news so its true. the pool is a free public pool so you can expect it to be crowded.

I believe it was only 2 days not weeks... But even so, it was so negligent for the lifeguard not to notice the drowning lady and even ignoring the kid, who asked for his help. He should be fired and sued for not doing his job. He caused a life to die.

That is so sad and annoying. Those lifeguards should be investigated cause she could have been alive if the lifeguards checked what was happening to her.

I hope this case will be solved and it would be a lesson for lifeguards, they need to pay attention. They should be alert of their surroundings.

Maybe her body is submerged at the water first then it starts floating dayscletter but its really hard to realize shy people didnt notice the body. the lifeguard is irresponsible for sure.

She visits the public pool regularly as part of her workout routine. her corpse woudnt be found if her loved ones didnt searched for her.

I am sure had they seen her drown they would have tried to rescue her. Why nobody noticed? Well at times a corpse will sink so it could have been under water and due to its length it started to rot and float. I think its such a sad situation. I don't believe the lifeguards ignored her, that is a little too much to digest.

that could be a possibility and its really raising my hairs until now. the lifeguards must be doing something else while she is drowning.

It is absolutely and so incredibly disturbing and I can't almost come up with words to comment on this. The body must be decomposing and it can cause diseases to some other swimmers. I wonder how the owner doesn't care and their are no relatives searching for this lady. I think someone needs to go to lawsuit.

The ppol is actually a community pool by the government, people's taxes pays the salaries of lifeguards and staff of that pool. what a shame.
