I have tried many in the lsast few years. Mostly from the sensodyne range. Now my dentist has prescribed me durophat which is a type of colgate. This toothpaste recommends that you do not use mouth wash or chewing gum but the dentist does strees that they would like you to use disclosing tabits to check areas where you have missed with your tooth brush. It is a good thing I got an electric braun from my boyfriends parents for christmas.

Years ago I was prescribed a special toothpaste with fluoride and all they said was to not eat or drink 30 minutes after brushing your teeth. I think it was actually a toothpaste I was supposed to use at dinner only. I use the sensitive stuff as well as my teeth are so sensitive.

That seems odd and mixed information about what you should be doing. It also seems strange to be brushing your teeth around meal times as excessive brushing can damage the tooth enamal. It only realy needs to be once in the morning and once at night. I use sensite toothpaste too and also use flossing sticks called 'plackers' and smalller wire ones. I have also been advisud to use disclosing tablets to see which areas I have missed.
