fall in love?

why we use "fall" in love? we all know fall is something from high to lower place , love is from above? maybe that,s why love is always hurts , because it always fall :D

I also don't know why they use "fall" but I guess it is what it is. Falling in love actually feels like flying so thinking about that, I don't really get it.
