My myLot earnings got deducted?!

I was shocked to see my myLot earnings changed in just a few minutes. I checked my earnings at past 3PM, and then checked back again at 4PM. $0.17 was deducted from the total earnings. My big question is, WHY? I didn't do anything wrong. Is this just a system/technical error? Did you guys experience this kind of problem here in myLot?

Don't panic! Here is what probably happened: one of the discussions you commented on got deleted, and as a result, your response went into oblivion with that discussion. Thus, you loose whatever you earned for that response. This isn't your fault or a punishment - it is simply a fact. The starter of the deleted discussion is the one who broke the guidelines - not you. :) You can view yourself as a bystander who unfortunately got caught up in the crash. It's not your fault, and you didn't know it would happen, but you got effected anyway. Your myLot life goes on. :) OR one of your discussions got deleted - you will loose whatever you earned from that particular discussion.

Oh yeah, I remember getting notified about a discussion where I commented on being deleted. So that's what it is! But the earnings didn't get deducted until today! And that discussion was deleted a week ago. So I just panicked. Haha! :) Thanks for responding!

It may be deleted. Read the guidelines first. Do your level best to make a good response. Keep going.

I think when your posts are deleted, the earnings are deducted. When I discover that posts I have written are deleted I try to post new ones as soon as possible. I do not know if that's the matter in your case.

Hello Pinkpiglet, This is not a technical error its a system.This is bit of adjustment which takes place every day in every one's earning. This happens when your response is deleted due to violation of guidelines or the discussion is deleted under which your response was there due to violation of guidelines. Don't get upset this happens with everyone to avoid it try not to respond to those discussions which you think are violating guidelines.

I was just shocked because the adjustment took place just today! And the response deleted happened last week! (I was notified through email last week). So I was confused why it had to take effect today and not last week.

I don't even look at my earnings that closely. Wouldn't it be from discussions that were removed? I got two notices today that discussions I answered hadbeen removed. It seems a problem here. I saw no reason for either to go. They didn't break any guidelines. It could be discouraging if it happens too often.
