Hey buddies, Curly hair... looks so beautiful as if a mermaid just came out of the sea. Till the time your hair is wet you may see few heads turn around to have a look of it but the moment it dries it looks so life less. Suggest something to make and rather to look it more lively all the time. What needs to be done, so that it will not loose it shine and even softness.

Hi Vishu, Try using a leave in conditioner, don't brush your hair, use a wide tooth comb and let it dry naturally when possible, or use a diffuser on your hair dryer. If you can buy it in India, Jon Friedas' Frizz Ease range is brilliant, try using their serum, or another brand if you can't get this one. Serum adds shine and softness, but don't use too much, Try finger combing your hair, to create curls when your hair is still wet, then don't comb it, just leave it. I hope this helps! Rose

Hi Rosedavis, I will look for this Jon Friedas's brand but if it is not available then can you suggest me some more brands. And I have replaced my comb now with the wider tooth one. I have also stopped the use of dryer, actually after blow dry it gives a very dull look :( And finger combing trust me it ROCKS !!! Hey do suggest few more brands which i can get in India. Cheers ! Vishu

i have the same problem! what i do is when im washing my hair i use lots of conditioner. then use a towel and dry your hair by scrunching up the curls. the put a conditioning treatment in and then take a reasonable amount of mousse and scrunch your hair while still wet. you will get softer, looser, nicer curls! hope i helped.

Try buying a shampoo and conditioner that's designed specifically for either curly hair or to keep your hair soft and smooth. As for managing the curls, when it's wet try adding a curling mousse and put it all throughout your hair and kind of scrunch it upwards. Then, put your hair up in a messy bun for 5-10 and try blow drying it just a little so it's not so wet. Try and keep it in a messy bun for as long as possible and then take it out and add a little more mousse. Then take a really strong hairspray (but not one that will make your hair hard or stiff) and spray it all over and again, scrunch it upwards. To define some of the curls, twist a strand of hair by using your finger and while it's still twisted spray it with spray and then it go loose. This is usually what I do if I need to style my hair quickly and I don't have time to straighten it. The hair spray is necessary if you want your hair to stay nice for a while-it'll sort of hold your hair in place without making it look hard. Another thing you could try and buy is some sort of sea salt spray for your hair. If you've ever noticed, your hair gets some cool curls after it's dried from being in the ocean. You could even make your own salt water spray and spritz it all over your hair, spraying enough to make it damp.

Hey thanks , I really like that salt water tips it's amazing... and actually the curls the look so pretty when it's dried from being in the ocean. One can always carry their own salt water spray. Once again thanks so much and i will definitely try for that messy bun thing, let's see how it work on me :P
