like as a child, have you always known what you will do in your life, what your career would be... or what kind of life you will lead? i mean, for me, honestly i sure have no idea about what i want until i have found something that probably God has given me ... a career i took blindly in college but never got to practice upon graduation and now... God put me back in track... what about you? have you always known what you will do in your life? be the best fashion designer, a performer, a doctor, a professional, a housewife, etc..

I honestly don't know what I wanted to be in life when I was a child. Even now, I still have doubts that I wanted this or that or if I wanted to pursue this or that. I am living life with what my present situation is. I know I have to plan for my future, but I rally don't know exactly what I really love to do in the long run.

I have always known what I wanted, even I have not had my way of trying to pursue it. As a child I had always to obey what my parents wanted. When I was 14 years old I was determined to have my will. That time I won, but it was rarely they gave in for my desires. Many times they demanded me to do what they wanted. It was like I did what they weren't allowed to do when they were in my age. I have many times cried in silence because they didn't met my wants and life passions. There have been times when I have thought what I will not be able to do when I live as a human being I'll do when my soul is free from my human body. I'd love to travel to many distant places. I'll go there when my soul is free from my human body.

I remember the first thing I wanted to be (when I was in 2nd grade) was a teacher. Sure enough, I worked as an English teacher in China for over 2 years. I would have done it for a full 3 years, but I had to break my contract this year in order to return home for cancer treatment. I hope to be able to return to that line of work again once I finish recovering from my treatments. I am told that I will have to have another surgery (probably in 6 months) to fix the problem they were going to fix when they went in the first time and found the cancer. Thanks for asking!

I still find what I want in life. I have many plan in my life and no one of these plan being fulfilled. The only things that I'm sure to do in my life is to serve God. Dedicate myself to serve God to give me a reason to live without any complain...all plan that I am thinking to do will always failed... To serve God is the best I know which never failed because I always thinking him and fear to do sin...

Well, I guess I had. Back when I was in grade 2, our teacher asked us to draw what we wanted to be when we grow up. Unconsciously, I draw a lady cleaning the backyard, and I said, I wanted to be a housewife. My teacher laughed at me at that moment for she thought I have no dream for myself - but a housewife. But now that I'm a grown up, a successful professional, I could proudly say that yes, being a housewife is what I really wanted to be.

Nope.. I don't want to think of that. I don't want to remember what my childhood dreams as I am sure right now, we can be whatever we want to be. Just get through the life. It will change and it keep changing so get over the flow and flow with it. Whatever job we are in now, we can be the best and the successful one. Once you get the first success only then the more will come. But please do prepare for some failures too!! Dare to fails in order to face the success!(^^)

No I never knew what I wanted to be when I grew up. All I wanted to do I got to do when I was a teen. And since I got to do it and I couldn't see anything else in my future , I thought I didn't have a future. So while others planned to go to college, I was planning to disappear , literally.I didn't die but I Still don't have a career but I do have a job I love.

As I kid, I knew what I wanted to do. As a kid, I wanted to act. I started going to acting camps, and such, and loved it. Now I'm 23, I have a B.A., majoring in Drama. I was able to take a variety of classes in dramatic literature, acting, and such. I have to admit that I am now realizing that there is so much in this field that I want to do, other than act. But I still knew what I wanted to do, even when I was a kid. I got interested in the theater world, and it just never left. It's something that always fascinated me.

There will always be unforeseen circumstance that would come along the way that would change the path that we want to take. It is a fact that there are things that I wanted to happen in my life but due to the events that went on my life, they never happened or something else came about. At the end of the day, you have to learn to accept the things that come in your life and make the most out of it.

No, i had never known on which way my life is leading me. I think, if we have already known where life is taking us, then that joy, suspense, and that mistery would end up. So i don't want to know on which way my life is going to be. When i was child then i wanted to be cricketer or if not cricketer then atleast cricket commentrator! But as i was getting maturity, i found my interest is specially in studying about celestial bodies. But still don't know weather i can go for it or not. And i don't have to wait for it because tomorrow allotment of engineering will be declared and if i will be selected then i'll have to study engineering. So tomorrow is going to be important event of my life. Now everything has left on GOD.

When I was a child, I want to be scientist, but when I'm on my teenage stage, I love baking, so I get the course in college related to that. I want to travel a lot, and now I'm a manager of travel agency. In short, I don't really know what I wanted in life.

Since i was little until now, i always knew what i wanted, wanted to be like and looks like. But as an adult as it is now, i also now understand, that not all the wishes we can get. Even so, i can still know what i want and what kind of steps should i do to get it. The key is to keep trying, keep hoping, and keep a positive attitude...!

When I was a kid, I know what I want because I am so naive, innocent and not thinking of any other problems that will come along. But when I grow up, I started to think, I started to decide and that's what makes it all a big difference. We don't know what's life ahead. We can decide what we do want but we can never orchestrate what will be the outcome. I have a strong urge to follow what I like, but it ended up differently like "hey this is not part of the plan" thing. Well life is really a roller coaster ride. Sometimes, you are on top, sometimes you are so down the drain. You may never know exactly since some may start doing well and ends up bad and vice- versa. But as for me, play the part that you really know and improve more of yourself. Be humble and be obedient to God so that you will never lose track of life.

Well honestly speaking on this discussion, i never planned for my career and personal life, when i was in college most of the career counselors were telling us to have some goals in life, and to chose the path before hand so that we can work on it. In my life, i never planned about my career, i did my graduation and now iam doing a financial planning course this all came in my mind according to the scope and need for the situation in future, at first i had decided to make a career in IT sector, but somehow i went into finance field i didn't even know how this happened. It was all like influence from my friends and career counselors, That was what God had planned for me, but as life goes on once you get into a particular career phase we should make it a point that we stick to that and achieve future goals in it.

Hi Chiyosan. No seems like I have just been stumbling through this life and by the grace of God I have survived stuff that I wouldn't want anyone to ever go through. But seems like God has HIS plans for my life because it always works out to the best. Before I was ever married the first time I new that I wanted to go into the service but mother wouldn't have it. God has HIS plans for all our lives we just need to learn to listen and see what Gods will is in our lives each and everyday.

A lot of the time, I think that I have a clear idea of what I wanted. At least at that particular time. Of course one may realize that there is a fine line of what I want and what I need, and that might not be something that is easily figured out a lot of the time. There are just some times where the path tends to divert a lot of the time. Still I got to keep my eyes on the prize. Whatever that may be, it does tend to vary from time to time. Still I have had the most solid idea that I have had a lot of the time, its just getting there and keeping on task that is the sticking point a lot of the time. Hopefully it continues to remain on task throughout a lot of the time, but if I know anything about life, it is that expect the unexpected.

Sometimes I know what I want and I try to achieve it but sometimes I'm really clueless of my purpose in life. Yes, generally people are born to grow up, educate themselves, have family and kids, educate them and when the kids grow up and have their own families and kids you may consider that your purpose is achieved. With this I agree and I'm following it. But particularly about me I don't really know what I want to do in my life. I graduated something that I didn't want but with the time I fell in love with. Unfortunately at the moment I cannot work that but instead I'll work something that is not that bad but I don't like. So I'm really confused what I should do but the only other option is to stay at home which I also don't like :). Well, life isn't easy, right??!!

This is an interesting question! I am studying medicine and most people in my class always knew that they wanted to become doctors. For me, though, it was not so easy! I actually was not sure at all about what I wanted to be - for a while I thought I should be a vet because I love animals, and somehow from there I decided that I should try get into medicine. When I got into medicine, it kind of made my decision for me and I'm glad I made the decision I did, because I'm really enjoying it so far!
