I think that De Gea is a great player, he proof himself while he was playing with atletico de madrid, i dont think that the language is going to be a problem for him, he has more important things to worry about, he is gonna have to fill out some big shoes, is not going to be easy replace a player like Van Der Sar, all he needs now is to adapt himself to the team and to feel good in it, obviosly he still have to learn english so he can comunicate better with his teammates and coach, but i still dont think that is something that much important. if you remember the time when Cristiano Ronaldo played in manchester, the firsts months there, his english was horrible, you can look al all the interviews and you can see that he dont even understand what they were saying to him, and still he was an awesome player and he achieved much while playing there.

I agree with the coach of De Gea for him to learn English. Although I am not a native speaker of the language, I recommend it to be really the first thing international players should learn. Speaking the language can bring you anywhere around the globe. I am thankful the Americans had thought us to speak their language. We owe our medium of instruction to them.

ya...in my mind yes...we must master the native language..if i play in spain league, i must know spain language... maybe i think the biggest factors sebastian veron and diego forlan can not be success in manchester united because they are difficult to speak english, they are difficult to understand when their friend speak english

I think any player who comes to play in another country needs to learn the language, Manchester United have great people for that area so I don't see it being long until he has learnt enough to communicate with his teammates, mostly the back four which is a must for any Goalkeeper.

I don't have much idea with "Sir Alex" but he got some pint.In any kind of game there should be a good communication among the members and the coach. It started everything there. Understanding, Comprehension and then Strategies. That is how important the need to understand each other and would be able to communicate the right idea.

i think it is important for de gea to learn english, because in soccer communication with your team is important to play well and win matches. and english is the language that people over the whole world are speaking. the one better then the other.

This topic is an old topic, in my opinion, the communication in football game is not difficult, because the football game itself is real a language, the content of the language is rich and colorful, especially, the body language is very important in the game, when players from different countries have the match together, they communicated by expression?gesture?action?talking and so on. The football game is have no national boundaries,so i think the communication is not difficult for players from different countries, of course, it's more useful if they familiar with the mother language of their club! so it's my opinion, welcome your opinion, thanks!
