Do you think you can still get a high rank with a free website to make money ?

I am always using free website or free blog to do my online business. The problem is that :Either the ranking is not very high even you do seo and use back link with it. Or sometimes they will just close your blog or website without telling you why.It happened to me twice when I use blogger, it was just so frustrated when you post more than 40 articles in there and all kinds of ads in there and after few months and your blog just disappeared. I wouldn't bother to clear this up with google about my blog since I prefer to use something else instead of their services.I found suqidoo is pretty good up to now but still, I think those pay website will be much better in terms of ranking except it really cost money for the hosting and domain name ,that's all. What do you think? Share with me.

When blogger or something delete your blog they give some reasons for that action. Can I know what was the reason for deleting your blog.
I know when your hardly written 40 articles just vanishes how it feels. But you should have taken the back up. When you could write those 40 articles it is not a big deal to go for your own web hosting which cost around $10 per one year with custom blogger and wordpress.

Yes SEOBUZZ,
it would be really nice if you mention further details here about how one can go about doing it - getting a custom domain name and a good host. Which hosting companies do you think are good - Indian or foreign. If it comes to foreign companies, then can Indians pay through Paypal?
Please do respond here. I would really appreciate it and other readers will also certainly find it helpful.

If you have a domain name already, to host your own blog, all you need to do is download Wordpress. Upload it following the instructions, and run the famous 5 minute install. You will need a PHP type server, and MySql databse.
If you do not have a hosting account, and want to test everything before spending a dime on hosting? You can do that, simply visit 000webhost.com who offer free hosting for your domain and provide free hosting that supports PHP and MySql.
Just a pre-warning if you go with 000webhost.com . When you finally have Wordpress installed on your hosting account, be sure to cut off the feature which mails you when you have a new comment pending, and set it not to inform the user there comment was published. If your hosting account sends out over 100 mails a month, I think it is, your account will become suspended due to mass mailing.
Remember you can download wordpress for free @ wordpress.org . Also before I forget. If I am not wrong you can pay through PayPal to GoDaddy if wanting to buy domain and host it their.

You have had the painful experienced of the major problem with free website/hosting services - lack of control.
Why spend hours and hours writing interesting content only to see it vanish without any comeback?
Another important fact is that search engines like old websites. Do a search and you will see that the top sites are usually a few years old. So you work hard on your free site and after a year it vanishes. You make another site and it lasts a year. Your site never gets old enough to count.
So buy your own domain name and pay a small amount to have it hosted. How to do it? Well there are some good sites that will help and this one is good -

For me yes but it is defends on the category of there website and some they need to upgrade so that they tend to have more rank and able to get the rank.
