"Never have regrets but always be ready to face consequences"

My friend's mom told me this when we are chatting over something and it really left an impression. I tend to get easily discouraged when things don't go my way. I do move on after some time but the feeling of being discouraged is quite depression. Until she shared me this line. I always live by this belief in every decision I do. Of course you may have wrong decisions in life but instead of dwelling on it and regretting it, why not take it a consequence and learn from it? What do you guys think?

Yeah your right, we should not regret if the results of what we have done, didn't turn out to be the way we expected it. We alone is the one who have to deal with the aftermath of our actions. We should treat it as an experience and learn from it. It's natural for us to get depressed sometimes but instead of lingering and finding faults, we must used it as a challenge to go on and not to thread in the same path again.

Yeah, I guess those people are always in doubts or not sure of themselves because they anticipates the outcome without even trying it first. How would they know the results if they have not done it yet.If they failed then used that experienced to make it right the next time.

Thanks for the comment :D I really don't get it on why people prefer to keep mussing on the "what if"s rather than start doing what's right.

I agree with it. Whats the use of regrets when damage has been done. Just always be ready to whatever consequences might come. We have just have to learn from what had just been done.

Regrets never get us anywhere too. Yes, all of us will make mistakes, err along the way. The ability to be honest and be willing to face the consequences is what makes the man out of us. This is truly a life long lesson. Till the day we meet our Maker.

We grow with every challenge and failures we meet. The more we overcome the obstacles, the more fulfilled we are :D

Life is not perfect. We all commit mistakes sometimes or shall I say some decisions done are not always what we thought to be the good one. Moving on would be the best solution to that. Don't get depress but take it as a challenge for you to move on and get going. As I've said life is not perfect hence nobody is perfect everybody fall down sometimes, just stand up and learn from experience.

I think there's a lot of truth in those words;you can commit mistakes in life and fail, and instead of feeling sorry for yourself it's better to stand up,face the consequences and then start all over again.Everybody makes mistakes, the important thing is not to be discouraged because of them, but to learn of them and the knowledge we accumulate will make us wiser and stronger.

What you said is true :) I find mistakes useful especially with the experience you get from it :)

I think I share the same philosophy with your friend's mom. I believe that we are the one who should be making decisions for ourselves. Do what you enjoy doing. Do what you think is right and what would serve you well. However, be responsible enough to face the consequences your actions may result in to.

Exactly! Sadly though there are some people who blame others if things don't go how they wanted it :(
