Dravid is an extremely talented player and when it comes to test cricket, he has to be rated amongst the best in the world. His stroke play is simply exquisit. Dravid played well in the Westindies and in the first test at Lords also got a century in the first innings while most of the other Indian batsmen could not do well and gave a lead of little under 200. Over the years Dravid has brought glory to India with his magnificent cricket and has been the key player for India at number three. He has earned himself the title of The Wall and also India's dependable. Hope he has continues to play well and serves India for a few more years..

Rahul Dravid is brilliant not only in this series but also from his very beginning of his career. He is such a great batting technician that any young player can make him as his ideal. He is such a great player who doesn't throw away his wicket and every bowler should struggle well to take off his wicket.

Well well well, I agree to the first part of your statement, the century in the first test against England at the Lord's is one of the centuries that will be cherished by Rahul for quite a long period of time since he has missed out the same on his debut in 1996. However, he has a memory where the prince of kolkata has created history in the same match. Talking about so called, the Wall of India, he has been Mr dependable for over a period of 8 years. You might get hurt when I write that he has been the wall since his last 8 years. Yes because, he might have a great record in the longer format of the game, but when you look at his One- day statistics, they are completely different and the way he bats in the One dayers its pretty hard to digest. He has a pretty normal Strike rate in the shorter form of the game(Not in T20s). In the test cricket, the strike rate is least bothered as we have a lot of time to bat and he is a perfect guy where he can play out the entire innings. The West Indies tour has been quite good for him as he has regained his form and turned out to be very crucial member of the squad in the absence of the biggies like, Sehwag, Gambhir and Sachin and not to forget our captain cucumber Dhoni. With this form back on the hunt for runs, he will stand out to be very crucial for the entire test series and the upcoming tour of Australia down under at the end of the year. Cheers Dravid, you have made us proud and wish you would continue the same in the coming years and groom all the youngsters and find an perfect successor who can replace you after you retire from the game.
