PO Boxes (US Only)

So, I have to ship something to a PO box. I know that you have to go to USPS for APO addresses to ship. But, I don't know if that goes the same for PO boxes. I wanted to just send it through the mail box in a large envelope with two 44 cent stamps, but will it ever arrive if I do? Is it going to ship back to me? Get lost in the mail?

From my experience, things shipped in a big envelope do get to the mail box, BUT they take a bit longer sometimes. How far is it going? Maybe you could talk tot he post office and see what they think is the best way to go.
