Do you feel like you have to stay away from a certain section of the store, as it tests your self control and your ability to stay under a certain budget when you are going shopping. Granted, we are the one's who make the choices and it is our own fault when we might these things that we really don't need, but still best to avoid temptations in many cases. After all there are times where are self control is not what we feel it should be. For me, it seems like I have a better handle on this, due to being on a tight budget when I head off on my rare trips. Still, I don't spend too much time in the electronics.

I avoid the shoe aisle. I inherited my shoe addiction from my mom! I once bought 3 exact same pairs of heels in the 3 colors they had available! They were so cute and I had to have a pair that matches anything. Now I'm into flip flops and ballerina style shoes. I have to watch myself because I just can't help it. If I see shoes I have to force myself to turn the other way because I know I'll end up with too many!

Shoes really do tend to be a weakness of a lot of people. Given that there is a huge variety out there, it is very obvious to see why. And there are many people who do unfortunately end up with a few too many pairs of shoes in their collection. It can be rather horrifying to say the very least what might happen. Some people I know have an entire closet just for shoes and not a small one either. A very prominent weakness for some. Thanks for responding. Its appreciated. Have a nice day.

I can do okay in most cases, but I am like you and can't spend too much time in electronics. My worst problem is that when I go out, I need to go alone a-lot of times. Because if I usually hear the person I am out with say, "Ohh I want one of these" or "Im going to get one of these", I have this habit of sneaking off and getting it for them.

Yeah going out with others, there might be some problems for sure. There tend to be a lot of people that I know that tend to linger. And eventually the longer you stay, the worse off it is. That is really times where I go alone, get what I need, only what I need, and get out. That is just the smart thing to do as far as I am concerned. Thanks for responding. Its appreciated. Have a nice day.

I feel like I need to do that or else I will buy things I definitely do not need. I hardly have any money to spend and so whatever I do buy definitely needs to be worth it. Now if I have a gift card or something it doesn't matter as it's money I've earned through other online sites etc, or I got for a present. Still, I steer clear of a lot of different places in the store.

I think a lot of the times, not having enough money will tend to reign some of our more destructive spending tendencies in for sure. There are a lot of times where that tends to be the cure of many things. However there are circumstances that allow us to venture out. As long is it is a rather reasonable reason than it is something that is a great thing for sure. Still for our own financial health, best we steer clear of many sections. We can buy things we want but may not need. Thanks for responding. Its appreciated. Have a nice day.

Hello megamatt! Nope. I'm not in the store long enough to make spur of the moment purchases. I'm a man. I know what I want in the store before going in and it takes me about 5 minutes(depending on how long the checkout line is) to shop. The grocery store is a little bit different but being single I only go to the frozen meal section.

Not staying in the store a long I think we can all agree does help us a lot in not spending. There are a lot of times where we might stay a little longer but I am under the belief of getting my things and get out a lot of the time. After all part of the time, I really want to push myself to get through things and to get on with the rest of my day. Thanks for responding. Its appreciated. Have a nice day.

No, I don't have this problem. I used to be an impulse shopper, but I decided that I can't shop like that, so these days, I rarely make any impulse buys. If I see something I really want to get, that I didn't think of getting before, I normally go back after a few days if I still want it. So I think over even impulse buys these days! Generally, I think you can train yourself not to shop like this and to resist temptations. I am not saying it is easy, but it can be done!

I do agree that it can be done. I think that more often than not I am doing it. Of course limiting my trips to what is necessary can be a rather lot of help and making a list to say the very least. There are a lot of times where I see things and I just put that a list of something to consider for later on. Still the stores are rather smart in the sense that they are going to lead impulsive buyers to those impulsive buys. Thanks for responding. Its appreciated. Have a nice day.

When i go shopping for needed things, i simply just buy those in my list and go out of the store. That way, i am not tempted to buy things that were not in my list. I only go to the mall when i have to buy a needed thing or when i have too much extra money to spare. I hate window shopping, because it makes you buy on impulse. I like to always live within my means.

Buying things that are on your list is rather a smart thing. I do agree with your point about window shopping. It does lead to too many impulse buys to say the very least. There are many times where people tend to live and die by the temptations that you put underneath your nose. There are a lot of times where we do have self control but at the best, we should not tempt fate. Thanks for responding. Its appreciated. Have a nice day.
