Hello myLotters! I've got a Vista and a Windows 7. My 7 is connected to the modem, while the Vista is not. At first, I could connect them through Ad Hoc, and then I could just share the internet between them, but recently, I couldn't. My routine used to be that I go through the usual procedure of setting up the Ad Hoc through a wizard, and then at the last page, I press the 'Enable Internet Connection Sharing' button, and it would have been all right. Only, now, the button doesn't come up, and the Ad Hoc is established without Internet Connection Sharing. Could someone please help?? Please??

Hello there! I am glad to help you, I can fully relate with your situation because I have done ICS with xp, vista and 7 pc's to each other. Though, sometimes for some unknown reasons ICS does not work properly. That is why, I am recommending you the best solution for your case since your main computer is running windows 7 and is the one connected to the internet. Go to www.connectify.me (this is not spam, I am not promoting. It is a free software that works only on windows 7 computers). The software is so amazing becaue instead of relying on adhoc networks, it will turn your pc into a wifi hotspot. Adhoc has limitations where in using this software you will have an access point as if it was a wireless router. I hope it works.

Hi! Thanks for the response. Is your situation when, 'the button' doesn't come up at the end? Apparently, it happens often, but there is almost no documentation on it anywhere. About your solution, I didn't want to use another software, but I might check out this one to see if it's worth it. I might also go straight to Microsoft for this one.
