I had mentioned this town in one of my discussions when discussing canadian geese and seagulls on the beach together. Someone asked me about Fairhope, Alabama and if it was a historical town. Indeed it was. While we were there, my husband and I visited Fort Morgan. Since I am a civil war lover and have seen many historic forts, what impressed me the most was whether you were at this fort or wanted to go to Dauphin Island, where Fort Gaines there was a Ferry to take you to either side. This is the only place I have been that you can look across the bay and see another fort. We stayed along the waterfront while visiting Fairhope. The people were friendly and the town had made a beautiful shaded walkway above the beach where you saw people sitting on benches that have been put there in memory of someone they loved. It is a well kept small town with all main buildings intact and just beautiful to visit for its richness in history.

Hi marie! I'd like to travel to that side of the world someday. So far, I've been to some parts of Asia, to the Middle East and to Australia. It would be fun to travel to different parts of the world while we can still enjoy it. I love, love love to travel my dear friend!

I have traveled to Vietnam and Thailand when I was in the Army. I was Army medivac. I learned much culture and respect for these genuine beautiful countries. I hope very much to come back one day. Have a great day!

Thailand is an amazing country. They are progressing very fast marie. I haven't visited Vietnam yet. Some of my friends say it's nice, as well. Maybe one of these days, we'll travel to our neighboring countries. How long have you been in the army? Medivac, is it the army's medical arm?

Back in the 70's when we showed up in plain green fatigues, usually women did not wear these as they do today in the Army. We were known as Medical Specialists or MEDIC! If we heard the second name, we knew it was life threatening. One of my dear friends who is 2 days younger than me got sent to Thailand. I would love to see both. I so admire your culture and simplicity of the land you live in.
