Here's a computer software question, I was cleaning up my laptop and browsing through the system softwares because lately I've noticed a lot of ads and pop ups on my computer so I figured I'd better scan the system and remove any suspicious software, that's when I came across some sort of software called yontoo runtime 1.10.01 what is it for? is it some kind of virus software or not?
Whats is this software and should I remove it or keep it will my computer work without it?

Yontoo Layers is a browser plugin that allows you to customize your browsing experience in a number of ways. The most popular app that uses its platform is called PageRage, which specializes in Facebook layout personalization.
The plugin is safe and will not harm your computer but may cause it to slow a little since it is flash heavy.
It's up to you whether you keep it or not. I use the software and I really like it. They have a coupon app that's pretty cool.

Since this posting is repeated several times with exactly the same phrasing but from different users. I assume this is from the company that makes Yontoo Layers. This makes me more suspicious than of the software and I will not use it.

                    Hi Apples! How are you?
Yontoo is a tool and it is not considered spyware by some folks, but it does depend who you ask. I dug up a link for you to look at: http://www.yontoo.com/
Here is a short discussion about it: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic294912.html
Some people say it's great, others do not. Some antivirus programs do not like it, and neither does Spybot Search and Destroy. It is up to you if you would like to keep it or not I guess.

BTW--it is also available for download from CNet, a highly trusted web service that hosts downloads and reviews the programs. Here are the reviews from the CNet community who have downloaded the application. http://download.cnet.com/Yontoo-Layers-Client/3640-2378_4-11327832.html
