long distance relationships... are they doomed to fail? i always heard different storied about how hard long distance relationships were and how they hardly ever work out... well i was dating this guy i really like... that i am now married to... but then i had to move 4 hours away in a very remote wannabe town... i was depressed and afraid of losing him... we kept in contact but i didn't want him looking for other girls... so i managed to find a loop hole to move back down with hime... now we are married and have our first child... what are your long distance relationship stories? did they ever work out?

Long distance relationship really works depend on the two people involve. Because it is hard to maintain this kind of love in a distance. How can we show the love we have in a very far distance. You need the extra effort just to prove it and more extra care for him. The adjustment was there 360 degrees just to prove that we love each other... More patience...a very long patience....

I agree with mods196621. Handling a long distance relationships really depend on both persona involve. I had relationship also before and it succeeded coz both of us were doing our best to make the relationship grow fonder and now we are married..

I think it hurts very much so if both are not fighters and are really sure of what they want, the relationship will fail.

mostly are directed to fail, why? because most people dont know faitfulness, specially us, man we do not believe that girls can be faitful, because we know more girls and just a few of them are, and i really admire those couples who made it because its so hard to survive, i know many stories, and they did not make it.

Actually me and my boyfriend for four years now is in that case. Long distance relationship is really hard for us, he's working abroad for a greener pasture ,for like 1 year and 1 month now. We can say we're working so hard on it. I thank GOD for he is always with us. And the funny thing about us is that I always argue with him during my menstruation period and I keep on breaking our relationship. Few days later, we're back on the track. He will just laugh it off when I'm not in the mood for he knows I have my red tide! hahaha How I miss him. i do hope to God that we will work. Please pray for us.Thank you. Good for you. You and your hubby is the living proof of TRUE LOVE. That distance is not a hindrance but it's a challenge for every couple.

Never been into a long distance relationship but if i were i knew it would work out well. As long as my boyfriend loves me and i love him then we'll always find ways to make the relationship work despite the distance. My friends from Romania met online actually. She's working in Florida but she's a native of Romania while he was in Romania. For 8 months they only communicated through skype. But now they're both together happy in Florida. He came for her and i'm so happy for them.

Well I'm in a long distance relationship. I admit it is very hard to maintain and to be responsible. I met my gf in the social networking site and we met once. One year past and still we are in our relationship. I don't know when or how our relationship will end but as of now, i will give my best of love to cherish our happy moments.

'Long distance relationship' subject always attracts me to speak something about it.I have mixed experiences with long distance relationships.I could never met any of my female friend I dated online so far but I had a good time because the real life was full of stress in those days. There is a feeling in long distance relationship that you are special at least for someone (if your real life is not going so well.I have met two girls online in past five years of chatting and ended up in chat itself. Right now dating with third and possibly last girl online.I am not keeping so much burden of expectations on our relationship just letting the things happen. But as you mentioned there is always a fear to lose her.Its really hard to maintain the mutual trust in long distance relationship. I am really glad to read your story. You both are happy and it gives me hope so pray for me too.
