I am a visual learner but then sometime when I look at what I am learning I tend to drift off into another world I don't know why or how I am like that, sometime I have a hard time remembering this, like it looks familar to learn but to actually remember how to do it, I can't sometime. I try to remember everything that I learn but sometime I just fail at that, I am suprised I remember my last name, because out of all the things to remember in the world I forget alot. I mean is that normal for you all or dod you do just well?

During my school years, including college, I learned that I am a visual learner. But I am also a kinistetic learner. So, first I like to see (visualize) what I need to learn and if there is something to do to help me learn what I am supposed to learn, I like to participate (kinistetic) after visualizing.

Each person learns and remembers at their own pace. No two people learn the same, and no two people can be considered exactly the same. Even identical twins think and process information differently. So learning, processing information and committing it to memory are different for everyone. For example, I remember best hearing things then I do by seeing them. I learn by hearing and by physically doing. And, I understand that's not for everyone, but that's how I fuction in this world. Most of what I know is "self-tought".

I seem to be pretty much everything, but it really depends on what it is that I need to learn about. I taught my self how to play the piano, flute and guitar and then took lessons for all and the teacher was very pleased that I was so versitil when it came to teaching me and me retaining it. She could teach it pretty much any way and I would get it. The only thing that gets me is that I get what I call brain farts and just can not function and compute for an hour or so. Part of my disibility I know, but I keep on trucking till it passes!

I also consider myself a visual learner and have trouble with remembering facts like birthdays, names, etc.. I also am terrible at remembering where I last put something. When I think about my education the subjects I remember the best had visual ways to remember. I took an anatomy class in college and had an easy time remembering how all the bones, muscles, nerves, etc. fit together visually but had trouble with naming them. There are draw backs to being a visual learner but there are also perks like I can think about a memory and have a very detailed visual of the event in my head. I can also remember directions based on visual cues like trees and homes and seem to remember how to get somewhere better based on these types of visuals rather than street names. I find writing good notes is key to my success. If I think I will forget I write it down, see it and at least have a back up place to look for it if I forget.

When it comes to learning something for me it depends on what it is like if its playing a new song itll be mostly a visual or hands on type thing but if its information I usually do better just audio learning because I tend to remember what people say verbatim by hearing it instead of writing it or seeing it. Although if need be I can learn either way or both at the same time just depends.
