I have two GSD dog(girl). The are mother and child. When i bought the mother Dog she was not physically fit. Her initial caring was very poor so there was some problems in her Bones.I took her to the doctor. The chamber assistants always encouraged me to sell her out or kill it and buy a healthy one. but I always protested. I told them that if a gave birth to a weak baby then what would have I done? Should i have sold it out or tried to give her proper medication. After few months of treatment she became absolutely fine and now she is a mother of nine healthy child. I have kept one of them. I am very satisfied that I got success and gave her a normal life. She is very sensitive and loving. Do you support my step?

I think you're extremely lucky. I had a gorgeous German Shephard, a girl, whom we named Venus (I love mythology and Venus was the Goddess of Love). However, when she was only young - barely out of her puppyhood, we lost her. A problem with her back legs. She wasn't ill very long, but when we took her to the vets that final time, she couldn't walk and had to be carried to the vets in her blanket. Then, it was the kindest thing we could do for her by ending her suffering, but it didn't make losing her any easier. I'm happy for you being able to nurse your German Shepard back to health, and if I had had that chance, I would've done what you did, and given her another shot at life. I'm thinking of getting another Shepard one day, but it almost feels like I'm betraying her memory if I do. What does anyone else think? It's been quite a few years, but it still feels kind of disloyal. I've had another dog since, but a collie, not a Shepard.

if somebody loves you then he/she can not see you in suffering. If you take another GDS then to my thinking you are not doing any injustice to the memory of the older one but you can give all your love to the new puppy and once she becomes your I am sure you will be free from the repentance for the earlier one. Let's think it in a different way...May be her time was over and now she is living a wonderful life in any other form. My be she in a newborn human child in your family or in some other family. The more you will be in pain the more Venus will be sad.

It depends; if it can be shown that the health problems were not in any way genetic then yes. If they were genetic or had a genetic component then it would have been best not to breed from her all the best urban

We found that it was not genetic. It was just because of malnutrition. She is a very important family member and we'll never take a chance on her health. We love her like anything and do not want to take the breeding professionally. Basically we didn't want a mating but the Doctor told that if we do not take her for a mating her uterus may got infected. Breeding is very important to keep your dog fit. I have also cross checked with few more doctor and all of them tolad the same thing. According to them Uterine cancer is very common in gods and to reduce the risk breeding is important.
