puppy - this is my puppy
Hello there, Your dog is not alone. My puppy is also eating grass even just after feeding him. I hate to see him eat grass and always drive him when I spot he do so. maybe it is their curiosity that drives them

The dogs eat plants (yes, not just grass) because it aids them in their digestion. It like us humans who need to eat green leafy vegetable for fiber which also helps us in our digestion. There is nothing wrong with your dog. My dogs have been chewing on my plants too.

...my dog eats grass when he is having a stomach problem or feeling sick. Then, after eating some of the grass, he will vomit then, he feels relieved.

Your dog might have smelled something like meat on the grass. Haven't you fed your dog recently? It is strange to me if you dog has a habit of eating grass. What kind of a dog is it?

It's normal that dogs eat the grass. Why are you accusing them of not feeding their dog? Thats rude when you don't know them.

From what I understand, when a dog eats something like that it is because there is a vitamin or metal or something in his body that he knows is lacking in his body and is there in that grass. How? Dog instinct. My dog, Moses, twice was standing on the back porch and all of a sudden acted like a bee stung him and ran to the back yard and started eating grass. It is wild to see how it comes upon him so suddenly like we behave when we have dyharhea or something.

As far as I know, dogs usually eat grass as part of their medication. This allows them to vomit some inappropriate food that they ate. It also helps them in digesting their food. My dog usually eat grass and when I observed her, she vomits out phlegm like substance with some bits of the grass. I think she uses grass also to pull out the phlegm, but I am not so sure about this.

all carnivorous animals although dogs, cats etc an example. he will remain as an example of grass-eating plants to improve the digestive system if there are problems with his stomach, as if we upset stomach then it will take madicine, so after he eats grass in a few seconds then it will vomiting and spend a few percent of stomach contents

oh how sweet it is owning a pet, i have a dog too, a female chinese shar pei, she will be 4 yrs old this coming april, and yes she eats grass too but she wants to be the one to pick or choose the grass i think they can smell witch one is very nutritious and will help with their digestion. so dont worry about it nothing to be alarmed of. just let your dog chew some grass if he feels like. and i would like to thank you for taking good care of your dog and i am sure he is very thankful to have you as his master. both of you have fun and share a long lasting friend. take care and c u around.

I remember seeing my parents dog eating grass and everytime it did it would throw it back up. I had heard once that dogs will eat grass if they have an upset stomach. I dont know how true it is or not though. My parents dog was so weird though I remember one time it ate a noxema face cleanser pad... it ate string... it ate crayons. I mean gosh once it tasted it you'd think he would be like gross and stop but nope he ate it all.

Most dogs do eat the grass, it isn't gonna hurt them. It's nothing to worry about. I walk my brother's dog everyday, and she's obsess with eating the grass. She eats it everytime I take her outside.

Maybe your dog has those horse, or sheep's gene. I was just kidding. It might smell something funny, or it might want to sniff something from that spot someone or other animals left behind. It was their instinct.

Hahaha! The title is so funny. Maybe, just maybe you are starving your dog? Just kidding. Your dog might want to taste something green I guess. For all those years that your dog eats the same thing, maybe started thinking that "hey, I need to eat something new". This post made me smile. Thank you.

I have always heard that when a dog eats grass it means that they are sick. I do not know if this is true or not.

It's normal that dogs eat grass. it helps them to clean their stomach. And even if you see them eat grass and throw it out, it's not necessary a bad thing. Sometimes it's just the way they get rid of the hair they swallowed while licking their fur. If you have a chance, take your dog somewhere in clean nature (not a city park), and it'll find what needs and wants. Anyway, if your dog eats normally, and behave in the usual way, he is OK. If there are other signs or unusual behavior, visit the vet.
