Eat a good breakfast and space meals evenly throughout the day.

Many people typically skip breakfast. The body operates on carbohydrates, and this is usually what breakfast foods consist. When the body is not refueled after eight or ten hours of sleep, it doesn't function well. We get symptoms like shortened attention span, early fatigue, and depression are common. When the mind is not alert, the body does not respond well to stress-it typically overreacts. Then poor cognitive functioning can result in poor decision making. There is a new theory that humans should eat six small meals a day rather than three large ones for better metabolism.

I have a very overweight friend who started to have severe problems because of that. She went to a doctor and a nutritionist and now she is shedding pounds by eating small quantities of food every 2 hours. It is the nly diet she has been able to mntain as she does not have time to get hungry.

I am so happy for your friend. You must be really happy for her too. It really saddens me to see overweight people especially women. Almost all members of my family is overweight. They don't mind it because they just like to eat a lot and anything. People would say that I am the only slim among them. I always keep watch on my weight and they don't. Now most of my nieces and nephews are overweight like their parents.

I must agreed that by eating small quantities of meal at a time, is much better for overweight people. I had seen it do wonders to my overweight ex-colleague as well.

Since from young, i never skip breakfast as my parents always reminds us to eat well. But i tends to eat a lot during breakfast and lunch, which i feels not so healthy. Because my weight seems increased a little by that way. So now, i prefer to eat more during breakfast and eat a smaller meal throughout the day. I feel more comfort that way and even look slimmer a little bit. I think eating more fruits in between meals also helpful in maintaining our weight.

I totally agree with you tetis74! Morning is the best time to break one's fast. Having it before 9AM, fires up the metabolic engine and prevents us from storing unwanted fats. Eating small but frequent meals keeps metabolism active, whereas eating large meals overloads the digestive system and makes us sluggish.

Yes. It is always well to remember this habit. When I am bound to go out so early the next day especially for something important I always make sure everything is ready the night before and that I wake up so early because I don't want to end breaking up a breakfast.

That's right, breakfast is so important to fuel our body after having fasted while we slept for about 8 hours or more. Breakfast will give us the energy to use as we start our day's work. It is also important that we get to eat 3x a day and snack in between so that we will not be too hungry when main meals comes. It will not make us eat so much on main meals thus avoid getting more than what we need , storing them as fat.

I heard before that breakfast is really important,so i typically eat breakfast every morning. That's i think that my stomach is ok with me.There maybe something wrong if we don't take too much attention on breakfast. Most importantly,i heard that no matter how much you eat,you could not gain weight meanwhile.
