I have two wonderful little boy's. One is 4 and the other is 2. I am a little concern about my oldest. He only wants to run and play all day and when nap time comes he say he can't go to sleep. He is a very smart boy, I work with both of them everyday on learning something new. I just can't get him to stop playing all the time. Have any of you been through this if so HELP!!!!!!!! Thanks

Consider yourself lucky. My girls both quit napping by the time they were 2. My middle one quit napping but boy by supper time she was a real crab. My son still napped till he was a little over 3. He just turned 4. If I lay down with him he still takes naps but if he doesn't nap he is still okay till it's bedtime. I'd say if your son isn't falling asleep that's okay, just give him some books to read so he can get some quiet time and rest from playing.

I have a sister who is also young. All she wants to do is play, watch movies, and bug others. what i try is try to setup a certain routine everyday to try and put her to sleep and she eventually got used to it. I read her book and sometimes let her watch a movie and she slowly falls asleep but make sure you don't let her watch too much.

Its okay for 4 to 6 years old to skip nap time. It is normal in their age development. Do not worry so much.
